Congratulations to him. He epitomizes the genuineness of all refugees who come here, with hopes, dreams and aspirations. I hope he is reunited with his family soon. Im sure being so far in America is not an ideal situation, God bless him and wish him much success.

Thank you for putting this together for some to understand what is it like to leave everything behind just to be alive somewhere . The reality is that we didn't see any of the struggles that family went through to get here, but you could feel it and it shows in the eyes. Thanks again.

Fleeing your homelands for any reason is always hard, no matter why you had to, rather it be economical, or due to conflict. I respect these brave enduring people, and rebuke any hate or propaganda thrown towards them.

I think refugess should have a meet up page or something so you guys can help one another adapt and be friends with one another. I think specially these days other refugees in EU and America are giving refugees a bad name because they take advantage of the parent nation they are in. I do appreciate that you guys assimilated and you are doing good in life. I hope you hae your own American drean and someday when you do become successful, and all other refugees, you guys should come together and donate funds on rebuilding your own country.

It's not about "other" refugees giving refugees a bad name... It's about refugees "from other" countries pretending to be Syrians and commiting disgusting acts and in return Syrians are to be blamed... It's frightening the fact that if anyone now at this moment looks up the stats and news regarding these incidents, he'll find out that almost all of them were done by refugees from specific regions... And to be clear I'm not here to throw anyone under the bus, but it's well-known for anyone interested in the situation that a lot of youngsters from other places took advantage from the Syrian crisis and the consequent influx of the terrified people escaping the flames of war back in their country, those youngster in most cases are ones who had no life or career or a future in their countries and so decided to YOLO into Europe with those frightened Syrians who were just looking for somewhere to be safe and not face racism and extreme measures from the hosting countries... Which obviously lead them to Europe and America as these are the only countries nowadays with good life standards and fair governing systems which respects human value and rights and that's something we all know and wished to be the case in Syria... Actually looking back at things, these values and standards we saw present in other countries and governments, and their complete absence in our stolen country were the main causes people decided to protest for!

Learned English miraculously in adult age ..... Doesn't sound very realistic . Why was he the only one able to enter as a refugee . Kinda odd as 16-35 yr old males tend to be at the bottom of the list for obvious reasons . When are these ppl going to question Islam and it's teachings of warfare and martyrdom ???????????? Along with the sectarian, political , militant divisions taught in the religion of peices . And these Muslims need to rebuild and have faith in their own countries . And make them great again as well . This excuses their govts, leaders, responsiblity of adults - men , and the ummah nations and peoples to bare moral , financial, well being , rebuilding responsibilities to their fellow ummah brotheren and nations .
