How Realistic Is Snow In Microsoft Flight Sim 2024?

You know, I landed a helicopter on the slopes of Mt Hood yesterday, and walked up to the peak. It never occurred to me to use a ski plane, despite the fact that the place I landed is a ski slope in real life. I had forgotten that ski plane variants were in the sim. Thanks for reminding me of this.

I like that kind of bush flying alot now. The all flat surfaces are now gone. I'll always do a fly by now of my landing site and there are very bad slopes,bumps or stones everywhere 🥰 Yesterday I've done a flight in the Grand canyon and wanted to land of one of the plateaus,very difficult to find a good space. I love that Sim 🤙🏻

The number of B-36 crashes was crazy. They built 384 and 32 were written off in accidents, almost 10% of all of them made. And what's more in the 1950s this was considered 'a good safety record, well above average for the class'

There is a really tiny clickspot somewhere on the edge of the tablet that allows you to hide the tablet but the mount remains in place

the problem with the not correctly working glass cockpits is very annoying. sometimes it took very long or they just staying dark. btw, that nature changes it's colors when you pic a summer month is a very nice feature. there should be much more weather presets by default.

I took off in a caravan at burns Lake and the prop wash made snow dust for awhile after I was in the air, it was so cool.

At risk of sounding fatalistic… Might be more immersive if, like in Alaska, there were GA plane crash sites visible from the air that remind you to be careful, lest you join them…

Hey AvAngel. You can remove the EFB by clicking the little power button on top right of the “iPad”, it is tiny but works great. Don’t click the base, click the little power button about one inch down along the right edge of the iPad like EFB device as it appears on your windshield. Did it work for you?

I landed a Cabri helicopter ontop of Mount Baker in Washington State and I got out to have a look. On the way back the helicopter started sliding down the hill lol!~ Got inside in time to stop. Whew~! Have you flown around the Rocky Mountains at the BC/Alberta border?

That's "funny" the tablet is not stowable : that's probably because we can click through it (that's related to another issue reported during alpha with 2020 compatiblity planes too) They probably removed the action without removing the full xml code, leaving the selected node enlighting :) I guess this is also why the tablets are all in silly positions in the planes so nobody clicks through on a switch :)
