I have worn this suit for one hour and I am really glad that I had the oppurtunity to do that. My malfunctions in my legs were nearly gone. I could walk on stairways freehand. I would like to own such a suit.

This is very cool. But why does pulling on the opposite muscle stop the original muscle contraction? Wouldn’t it just be even more painful to pull the limb in two opposing directions at once? Clearly it works but I would like to understand the mechanism better

The suit just reproduces the same way you move your legs. People with CP aren’t in pain the way you think. It doesn’t hurt to move in itself, although you may adapt in ways that are painful, like toe walking. It’s that you can’t move one piece of the chain. Something just isn’t moving. Part of the muscle just isn’t getting the signal. It just isn’t there. But you feel like everything is working fine, because you don’t know something’s not working. You literally feel like you are walking normally.

Have any studies been done on BCI interfaces being used to bypass motor neurons and control muscles directly in diseases like MND/ALS? I know this has been done for people with spinal injuries but with ALS the problem is more complex than physical damage.

it is a tough problem because it is hard to engage the muscles after they have atrophied. I haven't seen any studies that specifically address ALS, but by combining results it is probably something that you could do.
