@@lucky_pepe This is why whenever I watch Rookie's vids, I never try to imitate him completely. I know for a fact that I'm not as mechanically gifted as he is and usually focus on learning his wave management and roam timing (which was one of not only Rookie's but also all top tier mids' biggest strengths, cuz they are always somehow able to find a side lane roam and yet lose very little cs in lane at the same time). Whenever he hard pressures enemy mids to a degree that forces enemy jg and support to roam mid, I always pause and ask myself what information has he secured that allows him to play like this and also get away with it and also think about to what degree can I mimic this kind of laning style so that I can use it to improve my current laning skills instead of ruining what I'm already good at (I often tend to play a more passive farming-to-late style which is often in contrast to the way Rookie plays, and my champ pool is also centered around that). It's basically like you said, most of the people that watches these vids doesn't really think whether such play styles fits them or not. They are just brainless copy cats that barely scratch the surface of the true lesson behind these laning guide videos. These vids are only intended as a source of inspiration and demonstration of what you might be able to use to blend with what you currently know.
