It came up on my KZbin in the US. I watch a lot of political videos though, and I’m familiar with BRICS and also know that some people hate the US. We’re not all so bad…I didn’t vote for Trump and neither did most of my family and friends. We’ve never liked war. The American people are just victims of our own government, as many people around the world are. We vote for people to represent us but they make most decisions without our consent or approval. We didn’t even have good candidates for our election. Our elections are run by money and big corporations, and the people are fed propaganda to choose a certain person. The people of the US are not the enemy. Every country should be suspicious of all these government leaders. They all want power. China is not an innocent baby. They have stolen a lot of intellectual property from the US, Russia has interfered in our elections, there’s a lot going on that the US is not to blame for.

1. There is no doubt that sanctions and trade wars backfire on the U.S. 2. U.S. strategies to stop or curb China's rise clearly show its negative mindset and expose its stupidity. The fact is that China continues its steady development in all areas , including social harmony , economy , ecosystem , military strengths , space exploration , etc. 3. U.S. should ponder why China can make fantastic development and scrutinize its " success know-how " so as not to widen the gap between U.S. and China. 4 . It is understood that the U.S. does not like China's political system and maintains its strong mindset that " DEMOCRACY AND PLUTOCRACY ARE THE BEST FOR THE WHOLE WORLD " . It denies the fact that ALL ROADS LEAD TO ROME. This negative thinking inevitably leads to U.S. continuous decline. 5. For 50 years the US legislators has worked to remove those programs and investments and trust business corporations to take care of it not remembering the oligarchs of the late 1900s and early 20th century… And now here we are kicking our own ass and getting it kicked by BRICS members because of our Hubris and interests if a small group of billionaires. You work for 40yrs to have $1M in your retirement, meanwhile some people are putting just $10K into trading from just few months ago and now they are multimillionaires

Most rich people stay rich by spending like the poor and investing without stopping then most poor people stay poor by spending like the rich yet not investing like the rich but impressing them. People prefer to spend money on liabilities, Rather than investing in assets and be very profitable

You are so correct! Save, invest and spend for necessities and a few small luxuries relatives to one's total assets ratio.

I enjoyed this, but i have a point. The problems getting blamed on international realism or domestic populism are actually due to the failures of international liberalism and elitism having run rampant in institutions. States and politicians are turning to realism and populism as alternatives, which may very well be making the situation worse, but the fact tremains that if competent, fair governance had been provided, people wouldn't be looking for alternatives.

I blame neoliberalism. Thank Reagan, Thatcher and the heritage foundation.
@jackbradley3388Ай бұрын
@mementomori7825 completely agree, I would just add thatif you really want to trace the genesis, there was a bad thing that happened with Kissinger some years before, who was branded an arch realist even tho he's not (he's actually sort of a prototype neoliberal), becoming a foreign policy luminary for both the left and the right vis a vis Presidents Johnson and Nixon. That basically destroyed the ability for right wingers to be realists, because they simultaneously got associated with bad things "realist" Kissinger did (and so tried to distance themselves from realism) and also followed his lead into what would later become full-fledged neoliberalism.

the difference between export and imports of 50 main trading partners of USA is only few billion dollars for 90% for those 50 trading partners. Only several countries have difference export and import around USD 100 billion. Meaning. if the USA gives sanctions to its counter parts, the effect to the USA for receiving sanctions from other countries will be equal.

So true....Prof Radhika analysis....Increasingly it is becoming clear to the world the US, most powerful country in the world, cannot accept multilateralism and will do everything within its power to destroy it....We are living in dangerous times indeed...

Back in the 1950s, the Korean War would NOT have happened but for the USA’s decision to send troops to the south part of the peninsular. The entire Korean population, north and south, could have decided for themselves at that time how to re-establish their own country after the Japanese army was kicked out in 1945.

Current global political situation reminds me of... Magna Carta Libertatum (Medieval Latin for "Great Charter of Freedoms"), commonly called Magna Carta or sometimes Magna Charta ("Great Charter"),[a] is a royal charter[4][5] of rights agreed to by King John of England at Runnymede, near Windsor, on 15 June 1215.[b] First drafted by the Archbishop of Canterbury, Cardinal Stephen Langton, to make peace between the unpopular king and a group of rebel barons, it promised the protection of church rights, protection for the barons from illegal imprisonment, access to swift justice, and limitations on feudal payments to the Crown, to be implemented through a council of 25 barons. Neither side stood by their commitments, and the charter was annulled by Pope Innocent III, leading to the First Barons' War. - Wikipedia
