His comments might have come off as insensitive but they didn't warrant him being laid off. A public apology would have sufficed. The likes of Kamene Goro said the same thing and were never laid off. I would tell my daughter the same thing. As a girl/lady/woman, you will always be at a disadvantage when it comes to safety. I will tell my daughters to avoid/never walk/travel alone at night, never accept money/gifts from strangers etc. This does not mean I don't want a safe world or neighborhood for women, I just live in reality.
