Love the way Katie talks the talk and knows about the equipment she installed. Knowing the amount of effort it takes to build out a van to this level makes this beautiful, intelligent young lady a huge inspiration!! Very impressive. Well done, Katie!!

Hey! Some friendly advice: If you look up “Murphy doors” And care to utilize more space, the two sliding doors on either side of the van and care to make a pass through from the interior to exterior, take four sided kitchen cabinetry on a slide out that can slide both inside and outside plus a putting in on a lazy Suzan for better access to all four sides, and then create a pull-down tile of window shade for the door when cabinetry isn’t in use, then for even more space - you can create slits inside of the upper portion of the cabinetry in for a pull out swivel table/dinette/desk If you are willing to retool or reimagine the doors in the back of the van you could create a four door system like that of a box type package that you can hollow out to create storage space like a bookshelf or apply basic kitchen cabinetry or even revert to the four sided kitchen cabinetry concept, at least the two on did by side doors, the top door you can also hollow out to create storage space for a drop down tent or even a drop down shower if you care to utilize an out door shower system. The bottom door can act as a deck. You could also look into fold out wall mounted picnic tables. If you are so inclined to create more space, I’d look into wall mounted flip down bunk beds - if you care to create wall niches for storage, and put them on two side outs: 1. First slide out - pull fourth from wall niche. 2. A second slide that will allow you to push them out outside of the vehicle so you can sleep out doors. For additional storage space I’d look at smart beds from Jubilee furniture. I’d look into putting a two sided movie projector pull down screen in the very back of the van so that if you do decide on the bed slide outs - you can watch movies if faced towards the van. To utilize even more space, I’d look at the Murphy desk concept or a wall mounted Murphy desk and with the option to create an entertainment center - or tv placed just above the desk, I would add these to the underside of the beds to create a “Murphy Bed” I’d also look into window shades that double as screen projectors. If you’ll look up CMC Motorhomes and add at least two slide outs - one on both sides that run the duration of the van, plus add one in the back. That would buy you even more space. If you look up Draper Land Ark and create an exterior pull down balcony with foldable telescopic legs underneath, look up floor pits, exterior of cockpit, you can add additional slide out or pull out tables with swing away bar stools for any one who wants to hang out while either the passenger side or drivers side is occupied. If you look up hymer - there is a roof tent that has a lighted body, If you are interested in floor pits, I’d look at smart sectionals from jubilee furniture, Sobro coffee tables and Sobro side tables, Backs of chairs and sofas can be converted into desk space so can steps I’d look at “game changer toy hauler” for furniture storage and to carry out these mechanics further - once the furniture is hoisted onto the walls for storage you can look into actually storing them within the edges of the floor. I’d also look into the swinging mechanics of “Dekpod” to further expand the space Hope these help :)

Sprinter vans, break down after 2 yrs. Most people put too much wood (which is heavy) into their Sprinters. I chose to use Chevy vans. The only wood pieces I used was my platform bed on my wood beframe. Everything else was lightweight.

Love your build! Great layout, with thoughtful features. I've got a nebula too. If you grab a go-pro sticky mount and attach it under your overheads, you can mount your projector there and pack it away easily whenever you want. It'll save you needing to be careful with a tripod! Smart build I worked at a van shop and we always thought of things to do after the fact! I've lived in my plane which I would not have anyone try it was always a problem, I had a teacup Yorkie with me and he helped make friends with some hardcore personal at airport, most times had No car and few times my little friend needed Dr it's hard on the road and having all shots so now I have 2 Yorkies and I bought a hanger made small place but I'd like to get back into vaning around and still have a base to come back to,I'm sure there are resources for Vets and parts so it probably be bit simpler! But nice build looks as you thought it all out

That reply kind of answered your question. “Privilege”. I think it’s crazy when well off people chose to live or buy something like a poor person might HAVE to, and consider themselves in the same struggle. Appropriation basically. She said her 1st full-time job was AFTER she got out of college. What does that tell you? Everyone has there hard times in life, rich or poor. But I wanted to address the comment in general.

@@aarteestmj4958 I don't thi k Nyone who has the choice to love in a van considers themselves in the same struggle as people who have to... They just like living in a van. @@TomBedlammusic I’m a fine artist and designer. Don’t get me wrong, I look at these videos because I love them, and respect the real work that goes into them. I’m just finding some that are a little too good to be true( it this one), and am wondering if making “minimalizing” mainstream isn’t part of a bigger more sinister plan. “Eat bugs and be happy” kind of thing. No way you can sell this unless it’s real cheap? Anyways…get a Milwaukee Adapter for battery on stain so you can always have your vac always powered as you can have more cells. Also how is toxic elements that are VOC inside. Toxic on lungs eventually? The materials you have seem way synthetic. Always been a concern and was wondering. Be safe.

I stand by this - induction in a van is insane. I get the idea behind it, but no matter how big your battery and solar, you will drain it when you get a few days of bad weather. Look at aemon and bec - 600ah lithium battery bank and they were complaining that they were still running out of power... In Mexico
