This was the 1st time I've heard a singer that can scat with the syllables of the actual lyrics, rather than the usual scatting with nonsense syllables like scooby-doobie-do. I also loved where she replaced a couple of "I'm a bad Valentine" in other versions, with playing her head voice like an instrument. This one also oozed emotion & the 1st time I heard this, I totally lost it. I often tear up from her performances, but this was on a whole different level. It's a vocal Masterpiece!

The first thing I think of that has changed my view when listening to Angelina is: Finally quality music by a quality vocalist without equal. Stop listening to artists who are made of autotune, bikinis, and sex, and who are unable to recreate this live. Maybe Angelina can wake us up? Angelina knows she is beautiful, but shows off with elegance and vocals that are often better live than the studio version. In a few years, she will probably be a world star who has followed her own path, and not sold herself the cheap way. Few are close to her, and she is only 18 years old!

-- Ray, when the audio for this was jazzy Bad Valentine was released on iTunes, it shot-up the jazz charts from around the world, without any promotion. Peaked at number 1 in Norway and Denmark, and number 2 in Australia. Within days of release was charting in at least 12 countries including the US where it peaked at 7! -- In the Behind The Scenes video, in the beginning the director said that Bad Valentine was number 1 in Europe! -- Now that Angelina appears to have bought herself out of the Republic Records contract (and it was reported that it cost a ton of money to do so!), maybe better promotional work will be done to get her name out there?
