Dude, first of all thank you so much you don't know how exclaimed I became when I saw 'MS', 'Data Science' & 'Columbia University' altogether in the Video's title! I have been researching on Data Science career specially MS in Data Science FROM US! And this Video was highly informative. I knew that Columbia University has this MS in Data Science option but didn't know much about it from inside since there were no videos on KZbin on graduates of Columbia of Data Science speaking on their MS in Data Science. Please do a favour for me by making a separate video or adding this following thing in the second part of this video: 1. Since Ma'am told that she published her research papers while she was in VIT I would like to know that does VIT have a slighter edge than IITs, NITs, IIITs, BITS Or other tier 1 engineering colleges in data science and publishing papers in Data Science field? 2. Her complete process of admission in Data Science Institute, Columbia University, right from her GRE, TOFEL, Research paper publishing, SOP, LOR to financial managing i.e scholarship or TA/RA to go to Columbia University. 3. Her experience i.e her courses in Data Science because Columbia University is the only university in US which has this DATA SCIENCE INSTITUTE, if she feels free to share! 4.Life at Columbia University while doing this complex 16 month MS program and jobs offered to her after her Masters from DATA SCIENCE INSTITUTE which is specially made for Data Science Masters! So many paid journal available in market,hence so many students from colleges published so called research paper. Why top IITs,even top 5 IITs,bits,not possible to publish more thesis in reputed journal,how possible vit,SRM students are published research paper.ecen first year student.....

Did she just say "Data Science is subset of ML" ?! I am sorry, but that's just not true. ML is programming paradigm where a machine learns to generate rules to fulfill an objective using the data given to it. Data Science also includes A/B testing, specially methods like Monte Carlo simulations which IS NOT ML. Neither is the practice of Data Cleaning, Data Wrangling, Data Mining etc. necessarily ML. There are even AI techniques which do not use Machine Learning but are definitely under data science. Data Science > AI >Machine Learning. ("a > b", a is a superset of b ) [roughly]

Also, domain knowledge is also important in data science. Let's say you are analyising a dataset of casualties due to open heart surgeries, and you see AIIMS Delhi, a highly reputed hostpital, has the highest mortalitiy rates in all of country. Does that mean that it's going down the drain ? No, that trend is likely due to the fact that due to it's reputation, only the most critical cases will be referred to it. Cases which already have a very low chances pf survival. So you can see why you would also need domain knowledge to interpret variances that appear in the data.

Its create wrong peer pressure and inferiority on other student who cant afford to study in US. Moreover you really want to promote US education, do it for PhD for which admissions is actually based on the merits.
