How should you spend your officer badges in Star Trek Fleet Command | Officers to focus on maxing

Another officer tutorial! Something @everyone runs into, and only the whales have easy, is choosing who to max out (thus having to spend badges) in the game. While obtaining badges is MUCH easier than it was just a year ago, it's still not an area where all players have enough of an abundance where they can upgrade everything as they come. So! In this video we discuss stats, uses, and more of who to max and focus on!

I agree for the most part on this ranking, but also think it depends on what ships you have/biggest/pvp ships. For instance, I think Marcus needs to be ranked higher, b/c my Augur is my primary PvP ship and often need to kill the more plentiful Enterprise. So, he was one of the first epics I maxed. I think this was essential.

I'm a little confused. If you're just maxing your officer pulls, how can you focus on one officer or another?

You can store up shards. Just because you _can_ upgrade an officer doesn't mean you _should_ upgrade an officer. Once you get the ability to get transporter patterns you can pick and choose which officers to focus on based on which ones appear in your Officer tab.

Also, the officers that you get in faction pulls are VERY limited, so its easy to "focus" on kirk-spock-bones. just do federation faction pulls!

The only video I see thus far to talk about away missions. It became quiet obvious early on there would be officers replaced, or of no use in battles. Kudos for that. I am struggling to find a video or a written how-to on starting from scratch. At lvl 20 now and been camping. Time to input my info the first time without screwing up the formulas. I'm thinking I'll just open my Officers up and then the spreadsheet, and then some items don't line up or I don't see where what is being asked is in the game. In other words, whhaaaaaaat? It would be great to have a game export tool that dumps all my officer info into at least a sheet I can then work with. Am I making sense?

...and in one of your video's you mention something about Officer '0718 (that's excel to save the 0, I do not like cells that start with 0 for this reason.) Inside a completely new copy of the Tool go to Migration. Move your mouse or cell selection over anything 0718 and watch row number 5 turn to number 6 on the left, move it off and it reverts to B5. Try any other 2 officers and it doesn't not do that. To me when you have macros that is a bad cell half working.

Rev- did I miss the results from the data you are collecting on refinery pulls? If it's better to choose the 12k option? Also- is it just rumor and folklore that if you wait and collect 50 loot chests at 1 time you get better rewards?

Even if someone could prove you get a higher% of unc/rares from the 1st crate opened vs the 2 crate or 3 crate... Your going to get more overall from opening 2 and you'll get the most from 3 crates. Stop worrying about efficiency. More is better. Always. So mine mine mine and open 3 crates as much as possible.

You should save your loyalty tokens till ops 40. I'm 29 as well. I pulled 100/80/60 fed shards every day to get my fed officers maxed and I was able to use transporter patterns to pull the last 5 shards I needed to get him

Hi Rev. I am hitting so many bottlenecks that the game is not working for me. Hardly any crew and too long to even get and keep any resources. I cannot lock faction. Been playing five months. I have no officer badges.

I think what is missing is, why are you focusing on these office? Is this something that is being used that is rare and will be used up? What are officer, badges, engineering et cetera?

I've been playing about a couple months and am only recently hitting level 15; but, yes, this list most definitely helps. I had a sneaking suspicion Chen was going to be important. T'Bisch seems to be levelling quickly. Slowly but don't call me surely getting there.

Thx a lot for this video. As always, super interesting ! The problem I find about Pan/Rima/Navi is that I have to choose between opening 2 chests for Khan or chests for Pan/Rima/Navi. Right now, I feel that I need to focus on Khan

Khan is a bit easier as he's 1. In the transporter pattern store and 2. You get shards every Sunday for him. So if nothing else you max out pan/rima/navi to help you get khan faster.

Good video. I assume Rima, Pan, and Navi all require Independent Credits....While the stat boost would be nice I think it is safe to assume we should focus independent credits on Khan, borg, and the trifecta.

I've been collecting these 3 without upgrading them, simply because kahns final tier is like 24k independent points... im about 16k, and don't want to take longer to correct those last 8k of ind creds.

So is max-ing only increasing their tier levels (using shards) or does it include spending officer xp as well?

Maxing here is more talking about using shards. That's what increases their abilities. The officer XP part is about increasing their stats. The stats will help you actually do the damage you need, live longer, protection, etc.

So Maxing (to get transporter patterns) only requires you have the shards needed to get them to level 5. Their officer abilities will also increase. However, if you want to get the individual stat boosts that comes from spending XP and leveling them up.

What do you mean? You simply spend them when the Officers ask for them at T4/T5 in the officer menu :)
