However, doing it with 2 players around the same level would be better, and we could see how much speed is too much speed.

Input delay is the delay time between when you press a key on your keyboard or controller and the amount of time it takes for it to process into the game and reflect the action of the pressed key. 200ms internet latency will make you ice skate in Rocket League 200ms Input delay will completely detach you from the game and make you feel like you're playing in the future.

Champ 3 vs SSL has a very similar dynamic as Plat vs Champ, obviously the speed and mechanics are worse in the lower level but the biggest change is that the decision making is what defines the rank, Plats go for the first play possible, Champs try to choose a better play and the SSL does the best play possible.

Nah, Danny, you're dead-on with the chess analogy. I totally get what you're saying. I mean, I know exactly when I should use a ground-to-air dribble, or air dribble bump. And I even know how to do them in theory, but I just can't get my hands to perform the actions reliably. If all I had to do was to think about doing it to do it, I'd be set. It would remove the physical mechanical portion. With chess, the physical mechanism by which your hand moves a piece isn't the limiting factor. It's ALL brain power.

On the ending nerolink topic- it’s the brain deciding and the coordination with your limbs for any sport. Esports and Sportsports. (Which is kinda how it should stay in my opinion.) nerolink could be classified as an ability enhancement. Like the obvious steroids. On the other hand, you still need the training/experience like this video just portrayed. ‘Decision making’ and ‘what is possible’ comes down to experience. So executing a ‘flip reset’ for someone like my partner who doesn’t really know what it is or would ever think about it (in their current experience level) means even with nerolink they wouldn’t be much better?

New series idea: “Masked Pro League”. 1v1 or 2v2, but they use fake names and the audience and players don’t know who is who while playing through the tournament. They are “unmasked” when they lose, but winners move forward still with concealed identities until the winner is finally unmasked. Use fake names, fake weird car decals, hats, boosts. The reason it is so weird and inconsistent is because the speed doesn't always play the same amount of a factor in a game. This is not a racing game, specially in 1v1 you do not find yourself going supersonic all that much.
