I’ve fitted lots of billiard tables and this is the first time I’ve ever seen a hand stapler used. No way on earth are you ever going to be able to stretch the cloth tight enough by fitting it like that. It’s little wonder that the balls roll off so much on the tables on tv, if this is how it’s done. Very poor quality work.

International tournament tables have heating under the slate, new cloths used off a roll not folded , templates would always be used to make sure the pocket openings are exact and proper table fitters would always use small tacks with a big head and never a staple gun. Also you would never mix the slate joint filler on the actual slate top.

All that they missed was a Template that slides into the pocket. This shows that the Rails are square to the pocket. As the Rail bolts can slide. This can make the end pockets tighter and opens up the side pockets more. or vice versa. loosens the end pockets and tightens the side pocket. Great job though!

This NOT a profession pool table or installation. Bits of card under the table top is not the way. Plus there is a mm perfect guide for the pockets, to insure that the amount of rubber is the same at all pockets, especially underneath otherwise the pockets can be easier in relation to each other. professional tables range from £18,000 upto £50,000 for somewhere like the crucible. There would be no tools aloud on the baize. Snooker tables take time to properly erect, this race is not professional-its money/time related. Professional tables have to be PERFECT.
