On a serious note, ya'll: You probably won't get rich like he did but you can definitely be as rich as him if you SAVE and INVEST. We need more of our people saving money and not thinking they are rappers and entertainers who can go out and buy Bentleys and spend thousands of dollars on jewelry. Save! Whether you're saving fifty bucks a month or two hundred, just try to save something. Invest, meaning become a part of the businesses around you and be aware of different financial opportunities that aren't shams. Do not throw your money away!

Yes but most people don't think like you, Jake. They want instant gratification: a new car, latest iPhone, a closet full of clothes- especially if they grew up with limited income. Google says his net worth today is $30M so he's doing pretty good! If he decided to quit now, he could live comfortably for the rest of his life. If he's led astray, he'll end up like many singers do: broke, owing back taxes to the IRS, dealing with spousal/child support issues and having to put up legal disputes with their record labels.

Jake - you are right! Vanilla Ice was a one hit wonder but turned his investments to gold (rehabbing homes & selling them). One has to have the right mindset & NOT want to blow it on drugs, chicks, liquor & shopping sprees. He probably blew enough per year to feed the homeless in his State or a small village in Africa. One can only drive one car at a time or wear a few pieces of jewelry without getting whip lash. Besides, who wants to be that shiny & become a target of a robbery?? 🤤😦🤕 smdh

Everybody keeps talking abt how he’s legendary and all that, when he could’ve helped so many ppl other than himself w that money. I know he talked abt helping his mom out and all that but man. It’s stereotypical but the amount of poverty in Africa and South America is insane, just 5k could literally feed an entire town out, let alone all the problems in South Chicago and elsewhere in our own country...but150k in jewelry🤯 Even ten yrs later he still just has his eyes on making more and more with intentions of himself. Just doesn’t rlly sound like a legendary role model to me🤷🏻♂️
