Massive epidemics played a large part in the Spanish conquest but Mediterranean/European powers (Ottomans included) were totally OP by then. Just look at the naval supremacy the Portuguese acheived in the Indian Ocean in the early XVI century with a very small fleet operating so far away from home. Conquering China (and specially retaining it) would still be a long shot due to its sheer size tho. Although political fracturing in the face of a (wealthy) invader could give the Iberian invasion a chance.

It sounds ridiculous, but considering that they were able to conquer about 1/5 of America under 50 years old with those same strategies (except for the support of a massive army and trade routes from America and the Atlantic) I always had the doubt that they would have done so much. managed to advance from embarking on the conquest of China. I doubt the whole place fell, but I definitely think they would have hit something there.

Never would have gone anywhere. Unlike in the Americas, the Spanish wouldn't have had disease do most of the work for them. Also China at this time was not militarily inferior to Europe for the most part. Or at least not enough for a small 1500s Spanish invasion force to topple the entire Ming Dynasty. Even the Manchus half a century later took decades to conquer all of China even though the Ming was already in full collapse when they started.
