Boycott Bollywood trend started by Kangana which later affected her own career. South movies were not that great but mediocre. RRR, KGF or even Pushpa were action movies that had over the top action sequences and and story lines which were not new to us. Still south movies managed to gross this much because of some anti hindi cinema elements which took over the internet and started boycott Bollywood. Even political parties were also spreading this kind of shit. But as always, it was Khan Saab to the rescue. And for those who underestimated SRK, they didn't know what they were getting involved into.
