I am definitely putting my faith in the CPP management team. I have been waiting to collect my CPP until I turn 70 and that is this coming January. I applied online yesterday and everything looks ready to go. I was debating if I should choose Dec or Jan as my start date due to the difference between CPI and YMPE. If CPI was going to be very high at the Sep fix then I was going to choose Dec to start but it looks like the CPI is starting to soften so I am hoping for a national wage boost to lift YMPE next year to give me a bit more CPP at the start. I stopped travelling for 3 years due to Covid so I plan to go out for a delicious steak dinner each week starting in 2024 to reward myself for waiting to collect the maximum CPP. Bon Appetit. Of all the people that are concern or against the idea of raising the OAS age eligibility from 65 to 67, basically the people who are alive, has no one thought about only those who were born in future year (say those who are born in 2024) will be able to get OAS at 67 (essentially grandfathering everyone who was born before 2024)? Life expectancy has increased a lot since the day the number 65 been set...

It is a joke bring in UBI for seniors instead of CPP and OAS which is good if we live in the 1950's
