How steep terrain can an excavator climb?

Capilano Sanitary Sewer Upgrade Project
Our crew is literally charting the new heights in Capilano neighborhood of West Vancouver, where we are completing new sanitary sewer gravity construction on a steep hill with about 30 meters of elevation off Mathers Avenue.
Our equipment tracks are currently the only path that leads to the top of this 45 degree hill that stretches about a kilometer. The trenches we are digging to install sewer systems will bring the “civilization” to this upscale neighborhood!
The scope of this sanitary sewer upgrade project includes:
Installation of 140lm of 400mm HDPE Pipe Bursting
Installation of 800m of PVC and HDPE gravity sewer
Installation of 300m HDPE Forcemain
Installation of a new lift station, including FRP Wet Well, Valve chamber, Kiosk and generator
