Based in Southern California, Malbon Golf has unflinchingly merged the cultures of skate, surf, snowboard and hip hop into golf style. He recently sat down in L.A. with TGJ's Casey Bannon to discuss how re-connecting with the game changed his life, misconceptions about him in the golf industry, what he thinks of Tiger's new look and the crucial difference between baggy pants and straight-leg chinos.

I've always liked the designs/vibes that Malbon have created. I think a lot of their items are overpriced but hearing the authenticity and genuineness from Stephen might just push me over the edge to order some stuff. Might also be just enough inspiration to start doing something similar.

I played a couple of holes with Chi Chi on his course in Puerto Rico when he was in his 70s. His skills were still beyond belief. Mr Malbon will be shocked at how good these seniors still are. 😂

The NBA didnt like Jordan shoes when they first came into the league.. Tennis didn’t like Aggasi and Nike flipping the tennis traditional uniform over either.. Both were hated at the time, but are looked back at now as revolutionary.. And both basketball and tennis are still doing well.. How old are you, my guy? Not a criticism, just trying to figure out what demographic I’m talking to.. I’m 35..

Literally it looks like an addict or something just walked onto the green at ANGC….and almost everyone agrees. This is not a: the old people don’t get it situation. No one gets these clothes. Everyone hates Rory and Brooks literally because of this 51:00 And we all remember the famous Curtis Strange Tiger interview...Golf aint ready for that confidence
