**Edit** A few things got mis labeled in the video. Like one of Merlin’s profiles being labeled as tiamats due to Sony Vegas being stupid with copy’s and references to text layers and another one being labeled as tiamats when it wasn’t. Although they were all still from material book 4 Also when I said that one of the requirements to be the grand caster was to have mystic eyes, I kinda messed up on that. It’s EX clairvoyance which was one of the requirements (at least I believe so) Also the root argument for Excalibur is heavy wank on my part as I re watch this video. I do not believe in EA or Excalibur being able to damage the root itself which is arguably boundless. Recently I have also learned of Merlin having illusions so potent that they re wright reality and time. As I made this video before LB6 was released as well as Morgan being in FGO NA

Fun fact, Merlin might actually be quite a bit stronger than you think, since in LB6 it was revealed that LB Morgan was worried about Merlin helping us, meaning that even THAT Morgan, capable of literally spamming multiple Rhongmyniads, and possessing the ability to create as many clones of herself as she wished, was worried that Merlin would help. Which just makes me worry about how terrifying Merlin truly is.

That's why Merlin is so scary tbh. No one actually knows how strong he is, or what he even looks like in his true form. And considering it has been stated that he could very well become a beast, and that in his legend he is believed to literally be Satan himself... yeah.

I learned some stuff recently from the Britain lostbelt. He can put things in dreams ‘wake them up’ and it reverses time and stuff. Not to mention he can exist in any space time with self manifestation at a higher rank than Tiamat. Although Tiamats self manifestation boosts her already inherent nature to exist all throughout time so it is a little weird on that front. Also I learned a few more minor things but not enough for a whole new video. It’s nowhere near as broken as Schrödinger’s cat though

Merlin blocked Cu Alter's Gae Bolg, not Lancers. Alter's Gae Bolg is a Anti-Army Noble Phantasm, and it doesn't rewrite causality like Lancer's anti-unit version. He just throws it really hard. It's also stated to be outright stronger then Lancer's Anti-Army NP, which has a range of 23 KM and travels at Mach 3. So while not quite as impressive as it would have been if he had somehow blocked Lancer's Gae Bolg, blocking Alter's Anti-Army Gae bolg is no small feat. Especially when this same Noble Phantasm nearly one-shot's Rama, mortally wounds Karna, and counters Scathach's own Noble Phantasm

Also you don’t need mystic eyes to a grand caster candidate you’d need to be able to have the clairvoyance skill. Also it’s not that Merlin is grand caster after Solomon stepped down he’s just one of the next in line since the seat can be taken by any candidate. Proto Merlin was scolded by king Hassan for not taking the title and taigong doesn’t mention anything about him being the grand caster since taigong is both a grand caster candidate and possible grand rider

Romani in Babylonia implies that there are multiple candidates and super Orion confirms this in lb5 The only grand class that only has one servant is assassin meaning that king Hassan is the only grand assassin and can take the title back whenever he wants like he did in arcade. Taigong makes sense to be a grand caster candidate since he’s basically Chinese Merlin abd has a lot of feats to him to earn him such a title

@@amari7782 I know about multiple candidates and stuff. And that Hassan is the only or one of the only assassin candidates and he gives up the title. I guess I just got myself confused on the eye part. And that you’re right about it being EX clairvoyance or whatever and got it confused with Gilgamesh having mystic eyes on Merlin and Solomon’s level and thought it was the eyes and not the skill itself. Also I never actually played or have much knowledge on arcade at all so I had no idea Hassan takes the title back

@@zackarybryant6236 Fou just kinda lays around in Avalon because it wants to. Fou hates Merlin because at the start of grand order, Merlin kicks him out and sends him to Chaldea so Fou can ‘see the world’. Whether Merlin saw something was gonna happen and sent Fou there is something else probably. Not too knowledgeable on Fou
