This pedal is a perfect addition to a small board. Just say you already have your favourite delay, and TS that you use all the time. But then you kinda want a phaser, a reverb, a pitch shifter, a fuzz, a flanger, etc. But you only use those for like 1 song or something. This is perfect for that situation. small board, huge versatility.

I don't understand people hating on this? The Lin6 M5 is just about on every session player's pedal board. This is an upgrade in EVERY way and so I don't get whey everyone feels the need to scream about this. I will tell you this - these are going to fly off the shelfs faster than they can make them. People ranting about this are just seeking clicks and attention. I have mine on order from Sweetwater already. This is going to make a nice little pedalboard -- Keeley Mini Com > Boss OD-200 > HX One > Boss DD-500 -- Rock on!

Yeah I don’t get it either. I assume you watched my vid and know I’m a supporter of it. It’s a brilliant pedal. I actually saw a KZbinr who said anyone using a full Helix floor or rack would never use this. That might have been the dumbest thing I heard in YT that day.

This just goes to show how reactionary "The Internet" can be. This is just an effects pedal. People who play through an amp and have a pedal board can use it and may or may not be interested. I bought one (on sale) just for fun (to play around with the 250 different effects!) and think it's great.

@@tincupmike32you’re kidding right? Helix is probably the best selling pro-Sumer grade modeler in the last 5 years. I could see adding one or two of these to my hx stomp rig. It essentially gives you an additional block and sometimes the stomp needs that extra block especially when trying to port a helix preset and you always seem to be 1 block short of getting there. The other thing it affords for stomp users is the ability to move some of the processing power on to the HX one platform. Even though they recently added more blocks to the stomp your limited by the processing power and can't utilize everything. You have to compromise because there just isn't enough power. This would help in that department. If they can figure out a way to allow the stomp to be a master and the one to be a slave and assign the extra switches for snapshots you would be able to get rid of a lot of other manufacturers pedals. Maybe that the ultimate goal who knows.
@JeremyVarao
@JeremyVarao Жыл бұрын
Yeah some kind of integration like that would be sick! Two of these would serve me just fine for 90% of my effects needs live. Like I said in the vid, a little chorus and delay and I’m good. Easy to integrate into your favorite pedalboard as well.
@chrisdercabc
@chrisdercabc Жыл бұрын
I think this can have several approaches to use, due to the number of effects it includes, gain, delay, modulations, filters, reverbs and even compressors and equalizers, all for guitars, basses, keyboards, etc. In a studio, where many times you record each effect line independently and you have this HX One where you configure and record, this also for recordings or productions, or simple layout at home or on the road. For live, it can be a total replacement for those that use a "Delay DL4" and "M5" together (I have them and I think I will proceed to sell them and get the "HX One" that has more effects in a larger size. reduced), just adding a Midi controller and you free up a lot of space on the pedalboard. And for live sessions, depending on the musical genre, where you don't need to bring a complete pedal board, not even a mini pedalboard, you would just bring this one and that's it.

For years I used the cheapest h9 with a midi controller and got a lot out of it. Even after buying an hx stomp I continued to use it as an extra just because you never know. This was an great video you nailed it. I would be in the market for this if I didn’t already have a hx stomp. Different brands effects are fun. As for the h9. I got everything I used out of it with a chase bliss mood. Sold it before the h90 came out and still happier having a small board that gets the job done no matter what I do. Seems like the natural upgrade from the Zoom MS50 and now MS50+ which tries to offer all the effects in one unit and you just pick what you want to use. Of course Line 6 has upped the anti on this one and made an M5 upgrade which is kind of like an HX Effects mini. As you said, probably not going to push a million units but the versatility is unquestionable. I'd say it's slightly overpriced but for what it does, it's great. Would I buy one?
