@@prodmako_ig Ima break the lick down from bar 3 to 4 Bar 1 - First chord D Maj 9 - Lick comes from the 9th,Root to maj7th Bar 2 - E Major 6th 2nd inversion, Emajor 6th,9, Lick goes from Root, Dominant 7th, Major 6th with passing note 11th Bar 3/4 - AMaj 9th - Lick Root, 3rd, 13th or 6th, Major 7th going to the 1 --- I know this stuff man + I ear train And if you look at the number system you would understand. As i stated before dude knows a thing or 2 about chords and what's he doing. When it comes to chords for example if your in the key of C any note works depending on how you use it. I can put a Sharp 9th in the chord but most likely its going to be a dominant 7th, Im not going to go to deep but learn your theory

@@prodmako_ig I miss read that. The A# Yea i can explain that. Misread. Its a major chord remember i was saying that's a A Major9th. On chords like you can can do accidentals which in that case its a Flat 9 he's using. The last 2 chords is EMajor7th to A Major7th so it works. Normal standards they usually have a Dominant 7th in the chord. But its not out of key. Its a extended chord with a Flat 9th. Im seeing this on the small screen i missed that A it was A#/Bb - Flat 9 in the key of A Make sense? Its What i would of did as a rap up i would of stopped at the B which would of been the the 9 because of the 6th - F# thats in there so it would of been a AMajor7th with a Flat 9th.. If you hit he chord together with the A# on top it sounds funky but he broke it up so its fine!!!! But those are the chords they use as passing chords. More so if you know chords. It could be a root less chord and it could so many other chords dont think its a "AMajorChord.
