Alan Alda is still very much alive. He is 88 years old. Whoever did the searching on these stars that passed away didn't do a very good job. It was Anthony Alda that had passed away, not his brother Alan.

Brenda Benet committed suicide following the sudden death of her 6 year old son Christopher after a tragic ski accident.

It had been originally reported back in 1982 that Christopher Bixby drowned in the family's swimming pool. I just looked it up now and saw that the child went into cardiac arrest while on a ski trip with his mother, and ultimately died of a non-disclosed infection. I do remember Bill Bixby being very outspoken at the time, about his concerns that his former wife was suicidal. I also recall Bill Hayes, God rest his soul, lamenting that he often felt that cast members could have done more and possibly prevented what was sadly, inevitable.

I remember a scene with her & Jed Allen(Don Craig) shortly before her death. Her character was hysterical about something & the look on Allen's face always made me wonder if it wasn't acting & he thought she was really losing it. Heartbreaking situation.

@@kayequinn7146 Yes, I remember that, and also remember how badly both Mr. Allen and Bill Hayes felt after Ms. Benet took her life. They were very regretful and said that in hindsight, more could have been done and should have been done.

@@kayequinn7146 I remember that Bill Bixby had been very vocal about his concern that his former wife was going to take her life. He tried alerting police as well as co-workers on Days, but it was a different time back then, and at the end of the day no one did anything and Mr. Bixby's fear came to pass.
