Christopher Watkin, who lectures in Philosophy at Monash University, has a new book out that paints a picture of a Biblical Theological worldview and interacts well along the way with all the major thinkers of the age.

Yes, God, through Jesus and the Cross, reclaimed his power over Satan's empire (Rome - the "Babylon" of the time) and took back his sovereignty. The Romans tried to make an Example out of Jesus to His followers and believers by nailing Him to, what was to them, the ultimate tool and vehicle of suffering and humiliation. But, to God, it was a symbol of both his might and his mercy. He made it His tool and vehicle of love and life. Into a beacon not of pain, darkness and death, but one of hope, light and life. How great is our Creator, such that the depth of wisdom of His creation is deep and without measure by our limited human minds.
