I think, in the final 10 minutes especially intentional blue carding should be allowed to be given red.

With regard to decent/abusive language referees in the professional game have the tools to stamp it out. These are called yellow and red cards.

@catalanBen this rule has been in grassroots football for years in Denmark for adult. Yellow card = 10 mins out…so welcome from me but just give 10 mins out for a yellow card.

my concern is the team with 10 will just go ultra defensive for the 10 minutes and spoil the game
@CatalanSoccer4 ай бұрын
Doesn’t this same thing happen when a player is sent off? Surely that is worse as it could be for way longer than 10 minutes?

@@CatalanSoccer there's two variables to that, on the basis that a blue card is for a less serious offence they'll be more of them. If it is a redcard teams will defend of course but it isn't realistic to camp on the edge of your box for extended periods, you have to retain posession and you probably need to score for a win or points. 10 minutes they may fancy their chances or killing the game.

Another bone of contention. Like the USA fucking around with golf rules. Just use the red and yellow effectively

Should yellow and red cards alone be sufficient to control players? Should they bring in a single bin for every yellow instead? What do you think?

Imagine 6 players on blue card's be pandemonium COYS

Surely they would apply the same rule of not being allowed to carry on the game with less than 7 players on a team?

Waste of time and going to cause more questions than answers. Just punish players and coaches harsher for yelling at the refs. Can always review calls with refs after game from a governing body and a representative from each team. Also, give harsher punishments for acting hurt on fouls. Send them off for five
@CatalanSoccer4 ай бұрын
I think you’ve got a good point, make yellow cards and red cards more frequent for these issues and you wouldn’t need a blue card!

Yeah brother. Still interested to see where this all lands. Seems like a desperate attempt at something but at least they are doing something

Easy fix... Get in refs face..red Argue with ref ..red Refs need to be in charge ...and respected...today they aren't..

As a canadian who has watched hockey for 3 decades. I do think football was missing a middle ground punishment that prevents layers being dirty sneaks. Im hovkey if you slash a player with a stick and hurt them, its not worth it to kick them out of the game. But a penalty is fantastic. The other team is rewarded for the lack of self control of the slasher and the game continues to flow and it does not change the very nature of the rest of the game.

Sorry for the typos. On my phone with a family around and poking me hahah.

Imagine if instead of a blue card it was an instant penalty in football.. I have a feeling that would stop the cynical fouls and dissent straight away.
@Ewerboweski4 ай бұрын
Putting it that way, they should be implementing that by tomorrow. Though Barca and Man city etc. would struggle to move beyond too many tactical fouls hahah.@@CatalanSoccer
