The problem is the Celtics do not use all their bench players in the playoffs like they do during the season. This is why they lost last year. This is why Tatum turned his ankle. They've got to use these bench players in the playoffs the same way they do during the season. They do that and run the way they do nobody can beat them. Use the bench players the Peyton pritchard, Sam howser, Al horford etc and when I say this is why Tatum sprained his ankle, it's a long season if they had used their bench more he may not have turned his ankle! The attitude has totally changed, you don't really see the same issues that plagued them the last couple seasons. I’m a Celtics fan and I love this team with all my heart but sometimes they are very frustrating to watch because of their shot selection. We constantly settle for tough contested shots rather than getting the ball to the open man. If this Celtics team hunted great shots rather than settling they would be unstoppable. But make no mistake I still think they’re the best team in the NBA and I also believe they’ll win the championship this year, especially considering how good they are on defense

OP tactics work in basketball too I see 😂. The options this kind of offense gives with the spacing only works if you have decent shooters 1-5…there can be no non-shooters on the floor for this to work. Fitting that Luka (a Galactico) would be taken down by a Guardiola Barcelona scheme.

ALL teams can run pick and rolls and do similar stuff to what the Celts are doing. The main point is that the entire starting 5 of the Celtics are full spectrum threats. They can all shoot from 3. They can all make mid-range jumpers, and they can all drive to the basket and finish. More than that, they are all willing passers. You have to defend the guy with the ball, the guys cutting to the basket, and the shooters standing behind the 3 point line ready to catch and shoot. A perfectly committed defense can definitely give the Celts trouble. But this takes endless effort and constant awareness of what the Celtics are doing. The slightest slip up, and they get an easy score. If you don't play defense, as the Grizzlies recently failed to do, you get blown out by 50 points.
