This is an ESPN segment on how the Dallas Cowboys were greeted or received as they visited the city of Cleveland to play the Browns on just 2 days after President Kennedy's Assassination in Dallas.
The NFL was not sure even to play games that weekend. None of the players were in the mood to play, but after NFL Commissioner Pete Rozelle sought out some opinions, he decided to move forward with the games. A decision he said he later regretted.
Of all the teams, you can imagine how the Dallas Cowboys were going to be received as they visited Cleveland the weekend to play the Browns. Cleveland Browns Owner Art Modell even instructed the game announcer to only introduce the opponent as the Cowboys, not the mention "The Dallas Cowboys" This is a segment that features comments from members from both organizations along with media staff members from both cities.
