I know Mystic Force had a 3 parter where the world changed where their powers were erased, everyone forgot about them, evil magic ruled, and they had to go on a quest to get their powers back. And it ended with them getting their big team power up.

NGL, I always kind of hoped a Sentai MMO would be a thing, not like THE Rangers world/worlds, but like a magical girl version of a fantasy MMO where you get to skill up and customize a mecha with squads instead of typical parties. When the mage looks outside, you can see a visible burn mark on the ground because of the transformation. They didnt HAVE to add it. But the fact that they did shows a focus on the details

Nobody's done this because too many isekai authors, especially those chosen to be turned into anime cannot let go of "the MC's gotta be a character the readers can see themselves of as their own power escape fantasy" hook so nobody could write an honest-to-goodness wholesome isekai and not get jaded or loses confidence in how such stories can attract readers that's emo/salty over their real life. However the author of this show is obviously so full of love for tokusatsu and has no cynical side left in him (or at least compartmentalises it so well) so that he could do it. Also 4:04 is a common japanese pun which borders on a dad joke - 円陣 (enjin) is the act of people getting into a hugging circle, especially common in a sports team, signifying a bond/friendship which plays into his Sentai team's motif, while the reading of enjin is also the same Japanese reading as "engine" as in a locomotive engine - so it's a flying engine made up of friendship (symbolised as little versions of Red in a hugging circle) which propelles him.

Sentai shows always have a theme. Ninjas. Jungle animals. Dinosaurs. Etc. It's obvious that for this one the theme is "bonds". From bonds between people to adhesive bonds on band-aids. And like usual for sentai they absolutely go to extremes with the theme. The sentai-gun with everything about it being marriage related was hilarious.

So fun fact, apparently all the other rangers are voice acted by actors/actresses who played the rangers from various Super Sentai shows, and the composer for the anime was a composer for one of the Super Sentai shows

I love how much they absolutely lean into the super sentai tropes. Red is so utterly altruistic, hopeful, and corny that he can't possibly be real, and yet I believe 110% that he is exactly who and what he appears to be: the goodest boi ultra-himbo. And that sincerity is kinda refreshing, especially when put into a world that isn't meant to have the purity of an actual super sentai team, and yet you still have people who want to do good who are able to be actually inspired by him. I also love that, when asked to explain his suit, the only explanation he gives is that kids love it and think it's cool.

Then, yes it is good especially for people that loves tokusatsu since we love to see people reactions to the cliches that is common in tokusatsu that seems so bizarre from the outsiders pov. If you're not, then you might not see the appeal that much and it may not be your cup of tea but if you do plan to watch this series further, down the line, the plot would be getting thicker and serious, while having that tokusatsu charm to it, so it is still worth to watch.

I think they should've started out with just Red's individual zord as many Red Ranger zords are able to transform into a humanoid form and take on giant monsters on their own (i.e., Red Dragon Thunderzord). Maybe introduce the Megazord later after Red's bonds with his new friends deepen. A red giant robot T-Rex fighting a fantasy dragon would've already have been awesome enough for the first episode. Also, I think roguenoise2718 is just bringing up the drawbacks of one ranger piloting and pointing out why it's not done more often.

You know how Power Rangers/Super Sentai always have a main theme for the ranger team? Well, the theme for "Bansou Sentai Kizuna Five" is Bond, friendship, love, marriage, etc. Bonds. And they always find a way to tell you that "Hey, our theme is bonds." I love it honestly.

I love how they embrace the commercialisation of Power Rangers type shows, to the extent that you can just picture that wrist band as a product on toy-shop shelves, an overpriced hunk of cheap plastic that'll have the tinniest sound effects ever and break down after about ten uses. Had to freeze-frame a few times during the episode to catch details like the super-cutesy names of all their robot animals.

While, yes, each Ranger is normally assigned their own individual Zord, there have been instances where they have been able to summon the entire Megazord without the full team present. One time in Ninninger, they only had two Rangers (yellow and white) piloting the main Megazord on their own and having a really rough time of it. Although, while there’s precedence for it, I think I would’ve preferred it if the Red Ranger could only summon his own Zord for the first few episodes up until his new bonds with his new Isekai friends deepen. There have been plenty of Red Ranger Zords that could transform and take a humanoid form all on its own (i.e,. Dairanger, Go-Buster, Kakuranger, Ryusoulger). A giant red robot T-Rex fighting a fantasy dragon would’ve been awesome enough.

I honestly didn’t expect me to like that as much as I did, it was funny and I liked how they did things as well. I like how he’s doing things in this world, I liked the connection he made with Yidhra, and I especially love how the callouts keep happening, from the names, poses, and explosions 😂. This is the isekai that hits the closest to what Klonoa tried to do. I love the idea of an isekai where the main character already has the experience of saving worlds. And they use their experience whether if they remember or not to help others by instinct. It shows off the strength of the main character and makes their adaptations very cool. I want to see the red ranger encounter new power beyond what he has learned before in this new setting.

As someone who grew up with power rangers as a kid and watched it religiously back then, you're right about the whole zords/robots belonging to a ranger individually. I think in this case, I believe Red might have been the source of the bonds of his team, where all the power comes from. He might have been the one man power source, or morphin grid section, without even knowing it.

Guys, I think I know why a LOT of people would LOVE Sentai Red Isekai anime This anime is basically a TOKUSATSU HENSHIN HERO FANTASY where the hero HAPPENS into an anime or cartoon story And let's be real, some of us have FANTASIZED becoming one ourselves You see, I used to fantasize about this kind of stuff back when I was a kid (and still doing it until now lmao) and imagine about crossover scenarios between Henshin Hero A and Anime/Cartoon B or more. This anime checked ALL of those boxes and hit the right notes for me This is also why I HIGHLY RECOMMEND reading the manga bc y'all can expect A LOT of Tokusatsu references in this franchise. Especially when it comes to how the isekai characters react to Red's presence and how they incorporate the Henshin Hero systems into their power set 😉 Not to mention, this anime FULLY COMMITTED to the Tokusatsu Henshin Hero bit with various stuff, like the Kizuna Five's cast, advertising and all that jazz. That's why I'm saying that this could become one of the best isekai anime of ALL TIME bc this just ain't your average one

Well things were pretty busy in terms of people turning into objects like vending machines. Glad to see a show taking this sort of concept and running with it. I actually didn't want to watch it, but I thought the synopsis was so stupid that I had to give it a shot. This show is really a blast from the past. There was hardly any Power R*nger clichée missing... Explosions everywhere, the most weird weapons you could think of, the BGM that starts playing when it's getting heated up and the typical red MC who thinks he is the chosen one to save the world from any evil. Though, the only thing which made not much sense was the Mega Ranger. As far as I remember you need the whole team for it, since each member has their own "spirit animal"... But well, I guess that goes as "Isekai perk" as he has to fight the ultra huge monsters in the end too. The 3D ultra monsters, I don't mind. That's some extra flavor in all that mess... (Actually, what is with his friends back on earth...? Can they summon Mega Ranger alone too or is it just gone for them?!) Has Yidhra fallen for him already or is it just her researcher curiousity? At least, Tougo isn't shy when it comes to skinship moments, but we all can see, that he does it without any further thoughts.

In some Super Sentai series, a singular Ranger *can* summon and pilot a mech on their own but the combination's full potential can only be achieved when all 5 are present. Growing up, I was that nerdy asthmatic kid who got bullied and ostracized for loving Power Rangers. I still have an OG Power Rangers Dragonzord on display in my room. This show was definitely made for me. It had so many of the familiar tropes and campiness that as an adult I see is incredibly corny but the mage girl calling out all the absurdity really sells this show. Typically a single Ranger can only call upon his singular Zord or whatever they're callled in this incarnation so it was a surprise for me to see the full Megazord manifest. Going to be fun to see if Red does assemble a new Ranger team to man all the controls and it would be hilarious if all of them actually have their own transformations in the end. However it turns out, definitely going to look forward to it.

I really like how over the top Red's design and characterization is, and his dynamic with Yihdra is sooo entertaining to watch, she constantly gets flabbergasted and unimpressed but also hooked to him lol 😂 I had a great time with Loser Ranger last year, and I'm very optimistic for this one!

I updated my comment on the guild girl video, but I'll say it here as well. Because the two shows feed off of each other. What they showed in this one with the time skip feels a lot like I am suspecting the situation to be in the guild girl show. I called it a "hidden isekai". Person gets Isekaied, time passes, then the show starts. They've settled into the fantasy world and are introduced to a new person. They are built totally differently than the new person is used to for the fantasy world. Red ranger is not hiding at all that he was isekaied. But I'm suspecting it will turn out the same with the guild girl in her show. At a minimum in that show it's obvious that she has a mystery past for how she is built so different. It does not have to be an isekai over there, but isekai fits quite well with what information we have so far for that one.

I used to be one of those people who claimed to hate isekai but that has crumbled with the variety of entertaining ones with creative gimmicks, especially the humorous ones. I am enjoying watching too many to keep saying that. And this one was a lot more fun than I expected. (Think Grieving Soul is my favorite newer one overall.)

Well as a manga reader You dont have to wait for a new series This series have similar to kamen rider on it... the gadgets, transformation, the voice is very kamen rider So theres gonna be red ranger vs kamen rider But i read this red ranger manga few months ago so i dont remember if it will be on season 1

As someone who reads the manga, the mech's always stuck out to me; like it's a plot point that they've left as an elephant in the room. Honestly, I'm anticipating that that unit is the key to going home.

"I'm not the target audience for Super Sentai" My friend, I hope that changes by the end of the season cause this show is just full of toku love (also bandai is just pandering more to adult fans with show accurate merch at the end of a seasons run), this manga is great and has the support of everyone who works on toku. Also some Sentais the Red can summon the whole thing, its a pretty common toy design even that the Red mecha is usually the biggest mech and the others are auxiliary. Also at what point did you stop paying attention to Sentai cause like it hasnt looked that much dated in years, with like two of the Don brothers obviously being done in goofy cg because its funny rather than "budget"

​@@AHBrandonReviews You should give Kamen Rider a chance then. It's not as goofy as Super Sentai and has more mature theme. Even though Super Sentai actually do have mature theme as well, but Kamen Rider crank that to maximum. Even a seemingly goofy looking Kamen Rider show like the latest one this year, Kamen Rider Gavv that is centralised around candy theme, has dark and mature plot with drug symbolism and human trafficking.
