It's insane that his story behind this track matches similarly to the visions I initially had when listening to it for the first time. I always see myself traveling along a distant highway that stretches far beyond the horizon, emotionally wandering and looking forward to a romantic destination filled with excitement, butterflies and nostalgia. Those female vocal chops really enhance the emotional value of Five Hours as well, tying in with my own personal memories of girls I used to fall in love with and have crushes on. Absolutely unreal vibes with this one, it'll never get old and will always be a timeless classic.
@boysnel Жыл бұрын
Same my guy, but for me it was more a step in the right direction in life than a romantic thing... like you can do anything you f***** want but you have to start an keep going, at one point in the song there's that low slow beat for me its a '' ok you didn't succeed but keep going you got this'' and boom the beat is back louder like ''you did it''

When I was about 12, during the big times of dubstep, I listened to a bit of electro house/mid tempo stuff, and came across deorro. No one knew him in my school so his music felt special to me. When five hours came out, we were on a school bus tour down to spain will all my class mates, I put the track on a small bluetooth speaker, and everybody loved it, I remember all of us, about 20 kids dancing and singing along the track in the bus. It's great memories and seeing that deorro himself is just an humble down to earth person with an emotional story behind this track makes me so happy

Just finished watching the video, where do I even begin.. 1st) so many times I've seen big, respected artists talk about making music while feeling emotional, or during life events, and just "telling their story" 2nd) as many times, if not more, I've seen them mention how they didn't want to release certain songs of theirs but their colleagues convinced them to, and most of the time it ends up a hit! 3rd) the way different sections of the tracks symbolize this 5-hour trip is just beautiful.. no wonder this track hits everyone so deeply but in a fun way.. as it was meant to be portrayed. Seeing these connections again and again should be a sign for any artist, aspiring or established. Thank you to everyone involved in this!

That intro transition from sorta growl to pluck always blew my mind and I just never could figure out how it was done. Even with it being explained as just having it get filtered with a few other automations blows my mind still. It just doesn't sound like what I would expect the end result to be. I always imagined something taking off in the intro, glad to know that was the intention!

I played a sport in college, and we had practice six days a week and workouts at least three or four days a week. During the summers, we were stuck on a turf field in 100+ degree heat. At times, it was hell. This song was the highlight of those days. We blasted it on repeat during practice! My coach was an old southern dude who mostly listened to classic rock and country music, and I'm pretty sure even he enjoyed it.
