Saban on college game day was shuckin for the NCAA exactly about this. It’s just like any job. You’re not going to keep working if they don’t pay you.
@MrShiningTymeАй бұрын
Saban is a POS. He's made $100 million off the backs of college students and he's begrudging a guy that's trying to get a measly $100k. Can't even stand seeing him on TV. He reminds me of those old genial plantation owners, who are secretly doing all kinds of horrible things to their "property".

The players at FSU were all going to the NFL. What does them sitting out have to do with this team being ass? It maybe shows that Norvell was being proped up by his players.

FSU situation was completely different. Players who were draft prospects skipped a bowl game.

Only the NCAA could get away with being compelled to pay players what they deserve and then have someone else pony up the money.

Can somebody please tell homie that the schools aren't supposed to be involved in the NIL deals. That's why the school said they can't take money and pay him. The collective has to pay him
@JoJo-oc8zfАй бұрын
But don't schools still use NIL opportunities in recruitment though. So it sounds like they used the opportunity to make 100k from NIL and misrepresented things to him

The agent fault if it’s not a legit contract it’s false promises, business 101 your welcome
@cameronbolden5064Ай бұрын
This has nothing to do with NIL. The NCAA got themselves to blame for this situation because they don’t want to revenue share. If players have contracts this wouldn’t happen
@MrShiningTymeАй бұрын
I don't understand what is so hard about treating college football players as employees? What? Title IX? Re-classify basketball, football and maybe baseball as employees of the university. Let everyone get salaries. Put things in writing. Let players get external sponsorships. Insititute salary caps. OR get rid of these revenue sports altogether
@manuelgutierrez8382Ай бұрын
I think it has to do with a ton more legalities with collective bargaining and minimum wage and pensions and health insurance. Ultimately the courts will force them in this direction. The entire thing is unsustainable in this haphazard way.
@BigNak364Ай бұрын
Yes the NCAA will manipulate this as an issue, pay attention to where this QB goes and see if he is involved in some way with that INDENTURED institution!!!!

If it’s not in wrting, than it’s not an agreement.

If the NCAA/coaches/administrators didn't have a century of looking to short the athletes on health care, earning money, freedom to move, etc, then there could be a discussion about transparency and creating a higher functioning model. They don't get any benefit of the doubt, because they have never been an honest broker. What happened with Sluka just is not a big deal. UNLV will likely still be good. They brought in a pair of accomplished FCS QBs, and feel as though Williams will probably be more than fine. Sluka will get a decent deal from some school after this season, which will give him a nice aid in starting his real life with. Who loses here?

@@JoeD-gy7cx How does it suck? Because a person wants to be paid for their labor? You people who defend exploitation are so weird.
@JoeD-gy7cxАй бұрын
@@MrShiningTyme Because the players just leave for money now. It's no different that the pros. College had a this great atmosphere of love for the school from the players. Now it's just about goddamn money. Sluka just quits on his team, but that's okay. It sucks now imo By the way, free education and exposure to the pros is not what I would call exploitative. It's the fans that invest in all this because of love for their school and football. Would you believe that I actually watch football because I enjoy the game? Sadly, money corrupts everything.

God damn Amin. Your communication skills in this segment were dog crap and literally prevented me from being able to tolerate the entire vid. The 10 minute mark broke me. The condescension is coming from both of you but it's like you're deliberately making it as tough as possible for him to formulate an answer in his head.... like you're trying to distract your own teammate while he's shooting free throws. C'mon man
