It also looks like protection characters are set to become EX as well, not now but later in the next year meaning those at 120 will be very useful for boosting those stat crystals

Iam fine with 5 stars requiring 120 for unbound as we get a lot of 5 star shards and multiple 5 star tickets and decently often selectors but ex units requiring 120 for unbound is honestly so scummy.

5* EX units like frieren are unbound at lvl 100

I personally think that they kept it really simple which isnt really an Bad Thing, but that you need lv 120 for ex characters is kinda eeh . I hope they will one Day make thst we change swap between Support and normal/ attack ults , so if you want to use Ur ex unbound character as an Nuker ,you can. Else the only real issue i have is that they dont give the upgrade ex unbound characters that nice looking silver background but thsts just me ig xd

You can look at the Lv Details for the secret skill to see what happens after attr unbound status (similar to the way Fused skills are shown). For Myulan, her ult goes from 470% to 490%, which isn't a lot, about a 4% improvement. However, they don't say if or what the turn-based effect is like. Other EX attr unbound characters don't list that in the ult, but rather is a section on skills, and I don't see that previewed for Myulan. Hopefully, it's something since just the ult multiplier isn't really something non-sweats would really care to chase.

The type of unit determine which turn will start activate their unbound status, this was revealed back in 3.0 anniversary livestream. Its 3-5 Turn for ''Speed'' unit, 6-8 turn for both ''Charge'' & ''Defense'' type unit.

@@OIWJT Yeah, but what I'm looking for is the effect on the ult. Because Myulan's ult is an "Attack" type, will it therefore be the standard (so far) of x1.14 weak/x1.24 super-weak?

@@Zhiroc Its the same for ''support'' & ''attack'' type, they are both starting out at 1.14/1.24 at base level (100) and will increase as you dupe them up. The only thing I don't see now is what Joker said in the video, they don't seems to have any other extra effect like giving weakness strike etc.

I checked Joker discord and it's seem they have lower multiplier because they don't have the 7th board? Tempest Elite Rimuru who is a normal EX unit upgraded to Unbound at Lv.120 only have 1.2/1.3 but I'm not sure is the normal max number as I don't have a fully maxed 120 Unbound unit, my 3.0 Space RImuru at Lv108 have 1.16/1.26.

My only doubt with this is about the move out restriction stages. Can i send an old 5* character that became EX in an stage that forbids EX?? If not, what happens to these stages in the future when most of the characters have become EX already??

They still be treated as standard 5 star, those stages will normally specify something like ''initial 5 star''. With the on going HP inflation for higher content there just no way restrictive stages can be done with only normal ult for many normal player base who doesn't have a full team of maxed out 5 star. This upgrade will make normal player to have something to look forward to by trying to dupe up their normal 5 star to Lv100 to get the ex ult.
