For me, the NSMB series has always been special purely due to the sheer amount of time I spent playing the games when I was younger. It really appealed to me not only because of its excellent level design, pleasing visuals, fun soundtrack and overall interesting concept, but also because it was perfect to veg out on. I know that Nintendo is moving into more high-thinking games with Odyssey and such, but I hope that there'll always be a place for classic 2D Mario in their hearts.

The New Super Mario Bros. series was my *childhood*. Words cannot describe how much hours I spent into New Super Mario Bros. Wii with my friend who lived 30 seconds away from me.
