Those are more different builds, not play styles. He still splitpushes with all of those builds, they just change how he splits. When hes Tanky he focuses on wasting the enemies time while hisnteam hopefully does something, with the AP build he uses the wave clear to build up big waves to take turrets in places he's not. His playstyle is still a split, thats all Trick does when he's playing competitively. This guys is higher rank because he can split, but has the game knowledge to do other things. He can teamfight reliably in challanger while most Udyrs avoid it like the plague. And he has a good mental.

Some runes can be built around personal playstyles like phase rush but its easier to build a good rune rather than build a whole new playstyle to fit to your rune. The difference between Trick and this guy (who the fk is he anyway, never heard of him before this video), is that Trick plays for fun, charities and for the fans. Trick has beaten high elo players NUMEROUS times in Twitch Rivals and he could easily climb to GM if he wanted to. He's on par (if not better) than Yassuo and TF Blade (two players that have been Rank 1 in MULTIPLE servers across the world). But he prefers to play for fun, he smurfs, he coaches, he plays with his friends and subs and he even streams Nexus Blitz games... This other guy sweats and tryhards playing full tank and depending on his team (he uses Sky Williams' D-sucking technique to increase his teams' morale)... While Trick invented HIS OWN FREAKING PLAYSTYLE. Everybody knows about "D Cane", the "John Dyr Classic", "Breaching" them "Gates", "they musta forgot". Which one of them is really better? The random GM player or the guy who invented a hard smurfing playstyle that most people STILL DON'T KNOW how to play against? Trick has even implemented the Singed proxy farming style on his Udyr... And before it got removed he was THE ONLY STREAMER who knew EXACTLY how to abuse Zz'Rot and Banner of Command... It's not even close. T2G is a visionary, a legend... The Boomer.

This dude is full on playing for macro and teamwork and the video presents it like its the new hotness to playing Udyr, notice how he still mentions Udyr is useless other than face tanking and peeling for his team A.K.A. stuff every Udyr player knows. I'm not saying the guy is bad; quite the contrary, he might as well be playing Tryndamere jungle and performing even better than handicapping himself by playing the joke champion Udyr is currently. Udyr has always been an adaptable champion, Udyr has always been about farming and getting ahead, and Udyr has always been a stat check when hes in range; but thinking his playstyle is innovative in any way when Trick had videotutorials explaining how to play for mapcontrol and objectives all the way back in season 3 is just ignorance about this champion. It's cool a guy decided to grind games up to grandmaster playing Udyr but surpassing a guy who quit climbing years ago and just smurfs in the LATAM servers is not revolutionary compared to other players that have been featured before.

My apologies, perhaps I could better explain myself as the question wasn't only Trick's spilt push playstyle which he's most famously known for (The Gate style) Trick's actual strength is his ability to create clever solutions, he INVENTED the gates playstyle when no one else did and he abused that to great success. In top lane he's phase rush, John dyr, and a few other builds I'm not familiar with. I have nothing but respect for the man but at the same time I have confidence in myself. I can' thelp but admire someone who has way more creative means of doing Udyr then I do, and I do some oddball ones.
