Great video. I’ve never even looked into prime bows until they came out with the Inline and I think watching this video just sold me. This is definitely the dude I want to engineer my next bow. Not the most charismatic, but I don’t expect charisma in a bow engineer. I expect them to be obsessed with their passion and it looks like this guy is.

I appreciate the technical details versus other manufacturers that just produce marketing sound-bites. I have two prime bows and I have noticed some negative tradeoffs to the twin-cam system. In addition to the weight and complexity, I get rapid serving wear on the sharp angle of the string yoke. I think this new system looks good, hopefully the track that pulls the cable to the center doesn't cause rapid wear but I suspect it will be fine.

I compare this to Mathews giving up on their Solo cam. This clip shows why I own a Prime Impact with solid limbs & dual cams. I see no reason to buy anything else. I prefer what I have, because it made Prime special & different from the rest of the archery industry. My Prime Impact is a rock solid performer.

Bear has done this 2 years ago with the eko cam system . The cable on the 3rd track is moving closer to the main cam when you get closer to full draw to eliminate or reduce cam lean. Darton archery has a roller that shifts during the draw cycle also removing cam lean. You see the reason for cam lean is your cable guard take it of and no more came lean. Or use like Darton shoot true riser with 2 opposing cable guard balancing out the cams no more cam lean.

I have shims for my Nexus 4 but they r not needed. Yes, the string is more complicated but it obviously has advantages. I really like my 2017 Prime Centergy & it's balance & draw cycle. It has always had some of the best nock travel test scores of any bow out there. With the Nexus 4 I was able to keep the things I like about the Centergy & get more performance with less effort. With a 30" draw & 62 lbs. I get speeds that don't dump when I'm shooting an arrow that is less than most people shoot. I could max it out to 66 lbs. but the arrow flight is so true that there's no point to doing so. Efficiency of energy isn't talked about as much as other things that will never matter except for the deeper regions of a person's brain. I'm up here in MN & the Nano grip is also really paying dividends. No longer do u have to wrap a grip that already has a great shape & feel to it.

Hello, thanks for the video! I have a question though. I have a new Inline 1, and I noticed at rest there is some cam lean. I understand you are trying to change the dynamics of the string and cable balancing, but in this video you state this is to eliminate cam lean - but mine does have a noticeable cam lean. It shoots great, paper tuned and all. But the cam lean is present. Should I do something about this?

I will miss the dual cam system So much I went out and picked up a few more blacks I shot the inline imo it’s not as forgiving or stable as the dual system please prime pleaseeeeeee always keep a atleast a target line up with the dual cam system that set up was the most beautiful thing about your bows
@michaelj.rovnyak76202 жыл бұрын
Yea. What about the horizontal force created by the cable on the cam? It increases as you pull the cable to the center of the cam! People are saying in there reviews that there is no horizontal forces any more in this system.

I like my dual cam system and the tiny amount of weight that is added is not noticable to me with all the other accessories that are added to the bow. I do not think this change is necessary , the only thing that I think needs work on prime bows is the hand grip could be more comfortable. I like the look and feel of the dual cam system on my prime bow.

Great bows but I’ll never buy another one. They don’t stock older parts. Waited over a year to get new cams on a 3 year old bow. They don’t keep them on hand and have to machine new ones. Told me they had to wait to machine mine, I’m sure because they were turning out the latest models to sell more bows instead of helping me with the one I already purchased. Shame too because I’m in Michigan and wanted to support a Michigan company.

I shot the Inline 1 and there is no doubt the bow shoots. Super smooth, well balanced and they brought back the rock wall. However, there is no way this cam system is better than the quad cams. Zero chance. This cam leans. At full draw and at resting. Idc what anyone tries to say. Just shoot one and look at it for yourself. Sorry Prime. I’ll stick with my nexus. Super let down this year.

In my opinion Prime's credibility just went out the window. The Centergy 33 had zero torque. The single limb design and parallel cams were obviously a superior design. G5 has lost their unique, justified superior selling point! "Big and heavy"?....bull. This has been a production cost reduction driven u-turn; probably linked to the bi-annual string replacement policy. Why would I buy Prime now, over say Bowtech or even Matthews? G5.... I'm so disappointed. I'll bet this gives a terrible torque test result.... if G5's brave enough to supply one to archer1941.
