Surely there will be build-up of minerals etc on the ceramic surfaces. How quickly does this happen, what is done to refurbish the moving parts before they get damaged or destroyed?

I prefer HPB from Fedco, one large HPB 2800 can do the same as dozens of PX. Maybe efficiency is 3% less but you save in CAPEX and OPEX. So the life cycle cost is less than using the PX.
