What an interesting video. It's amazing how Barry and Enright were able to redeem themselves. Also, it's interesting that the most prolific game show creators, Goodson and Todman only had ONE successful game show produced in Canada. (Beat the Clock)

Must have been a Canadian theater that booed. The Joker's Wild is an American classic game show! 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👍👍

It's so strange how a worked competition is can be seen as a bad thing. The point of a show is to entertain the audience, if building up big character stars is more entertaining than legitimate competition then why not? The only problem could be if there's betting involved and then only if the bookers are the bookies.

My dad and his business partner had a game show that made it to tv here in Canada - would have been in the sixties ... something "staircase", maybe "pyramid". Jack Neuss was his name, and Ron Wild. I found this youtube channel trying to recall the name of it. Would be fun to learn more - didn't pay attention as a kid.
