If you look at where America gets its oil, the number one place is...the US. Second is Canada and third flips each year between Venezuela and Saudi Arabia. And only 7% of the oil is coming from the Middle East, most of which is coming from Saudi Arabia. I was stationed in the Middle East I saw convoys of oil being IMPORTED into Iraq to sustain the army there and empty trucks would return. If the goal was to maximize oil supplies it would be cheaper to have no army there. One M1 Abrams tank gets 2 gallons per mile. It’s fun to believe in conspiracy theories but these stories are getting American soldiers killed in the Middle East

@@mattiamantovani5475 Yep, even if it were say.. 3 people on the team that produced the video, in one week you’re looking at 120 hours worth of labor without overtime. In my experience as an editor a 40 week is the exception, not the rule. Especially when there’s a deadline. This is on top of all the research done beforehand to create the article. 60-120 minute documentaries take months or in some cases years to complete. As awesome as the longer format is, it locks down resources which prevent them from being current to the news cycle and you’re not gonna have a successful KZbin presence with releasing a video every 3-6 months. Serialized segments could be the way to go. This could have been a 3 hour video and there’d still be people in the comments about how insufficient it is. Almost like people might have to do some research for themselves because of the complexities and nuance involved. 🥴

The thing is. The US doesn’t want a stable and democratic Middle East, as they would not be able to offer benefits of protection in stable regions. In collaboration with Israel, the US has tried to keep the region perpetually unstable, with their allies, whoever they might be (now, it’s Saudi Arabia, but at one point the US even rooted for Saddam Hussein) somewhat out of the commotion or actively fueling the conflicts even further with grave power imbalances. This is the problem that needs to be addressed.

ومن غير استثمارات السعوديين في امريكا تتخطى البليونات من الدولارات السعوديين ليسو لقمة سهله مثل العراق او سوريا (: If the Americans stop supplying weapons to the Saudis, then there is the alternative, Russia or China, the Americans who need the Saudis, and not the other way around? And the Sardinians have the largest oil reserves. If the whole world is cut off, how can you punish a country that can punish the world? And without the Saudi investments in America exceeding billions of Saudi dollars, it is not an easy summit like Iraq or Syria (:

USA gives weapons to Iraqi army and since the Iraqi army constantly fled and got their asses beaten a few years ago, ISIS looted their weapons.

Good timing with this. The US Senate yesterday voted to end material support of the Saudi military.
