He was the most greatest and unmatched servant of Sri Ram. He was always ready to provide service. I think you are not understanding the meaning of servant as in giving service and comparing to servants in a royal place. It has different meanings friend. From crossing the ocean in one leap to find Sita Maa to bringing the whole mountain for Laxman Bhai. Now that is no ordinary service. Only the powerful Bhajranbali can provide such powerful service to Bhagavan

Hanoman is the son of Sanghyang Girinata/Batara Guru (Siwa) with Dewi Anjani... Since Rama Wijaya is incarnation of Batara Wisnu, then Hanoman is half brother of Rama Wijaya... Batara Guru/Sanghyang Nilakanta/Girinata/Trinetra/Caturboja/Manikmaya/Pasupati/Otipati is the ancestor of all dewata according to wayang golek Purwa legend (folklore from Sunda/West Java province, Indonesia)... Never heard the story about Hanoman becoming a servant of Rama Wijaya before...
