The sparkling song isn't really when you point an object. It's when you stay in the same room for 20s up to 1 minute the Guiding Light entity (friendly btw) will help you with the sparkling audio clue which mean a key is close to you. It will also emit some blue lights specially for the next door in the Dark rooms (Really dark room with Screech in it)

Fun fact: rush’s sound was really made from a sound called glitch. To hear rush and ambush go to 0.6 or 0.06 to hear glitch. Stay at normal pitch.
