I cleaned mine on the contacts, but the panel lights up, I remove the white cable and after 5 minutes it goes back to normal. But after a few days, you have to reset the white cable in the fuse box again. I noticed that the lights come on when the air conditioning is turned on or when the car jerks when switching from hybrid to mechanical. Am I right, could it be something in the hybrid engine, a bad contact or something like that?

So that one with the chain is I'm guessing the older version. Any chance you can tell me since what year Toyota started producing the new version (without the chain)? Without the chain should be more reliable, no?

there’s multiple types of CVT’s. the chain style you’re talking about is one of the different types. this is known as a planetary CVT. toyota uses it for all its hybrid systems. the only chain/belt CVT toyota uses, at least in the US, is found in the Corollas. as far as reliability, yes these are far more reliable than your typical belt CVT’s from other manufacturers, but even then toyotas belt style CVT are extremely reliable as well

Bardzo fajnie ale sugeruję zmienić przekaz na zdedydowanie bardziej medialny. Niech to dziewczę mówi i pokazuje. Można to połączyć z grafiką oraz jakimiś animiacjami - choć nadmiar może być szkodliwy. Twierdzę, że wiele osób nie będzie w stanie obejżeć całości. Ogólnie dobry początek.

Patrzyłem do końca. Gdybym nie wiedział o co chodzi - to nie dowiedział bym się z tego filmu totalnie nic. Pani coś pokazuje na kartce, potem kręci ogólnie dużo machania rękami mało wiedzy. Poziom filmu poniżej podstawówki, a to Politechnika. Dla mnie żenada.

@@PUTPowertrain What happens when you are going 70mph for a long time, and battery runs out?? Does the engine generate enough kwatts to be used instantaneous to give it a boost in acceleration if needed? If so, why not just use the engine directly to the wheels through another gear? Or is it more energy efficient to transform mechanical energy to electric and back to mechanical to achieve gearing?

@@gloomweed318The battery while driving will never discharge "completely" it will continuously discharge and recharge both from the operation of the internal combustion engine and from temporary braking while driving. At high vehicle speeds, due to the characteristics of the electric motor, there is not much support for the internal combustion engine, because in this speed range the electric motor has reduced torque. Each additional gear ratio results in increased losses, this drive is designed to achieve the greatest efficiency in urban driving conditions. Best regards!!!

@@gloomweed318unless you're going up hill for miles and trying to go 70mph you don't need the full power that long. From 0 the Prius can get to 70 in about 11-12 seconds and the gas motor can keep you going 70 with power to spare.

Have a question so say if a gs450h is in park and hybrid and aux battery is dead. Will I be able to manually crank the engine from the crank bolt?

Unfortunately if both batteries (high voltage and 12V) are discharged it is not possible to start the combustion engine. Even if you manage to overcome the resistance posed by the drive, the lack of power supply to the controllers prevents the engine from working. However, to determine what is the cause of the failure will be necessary to conduct computer diagnostics. Greetings and good luck :)

@@PUTPowertrain so to clarify my question a bit more the battery are dead dead. I try to turn the engine from the crank pulley bolt but it feels like the engine is seized. Is it supposed to feel like that? And the 12volt auxbattery is new. But the hybrid battery is drain

In the video you can see that with the movement of the internal combustion engine also move the electric motors, in our stand they are specially prepared for the class (reduced in diameter) which allows them to rotate freely, but in reality the magnetic force at rest will make it difficult (impossible) to rotate the engine. It is better not to do it with a damaged battery, because each rotation generates electricity that can further damage the electronics if the system does not read the signals properly. I suggest you to do computer diagnostics, then it will be possible to determine the cause of failure of high-voltage battery. Maybe there is only one cell (module) damaged and it can be repaired at relatively low cost. However, any action with HV battery requires qualifications and knowledge of the danger.

@@PUTPowertrain I have concluded that the source of the problem is the hybrid battery. I have replaced the 12v battery. I can see the ready light flicker but car sat for over a year. The hybrid battery was replace in 2017 and there is less then 1000 miles on it. Do I have to take out the battery and charge them one by one or is there a easier way?

If you connect the TechStream software (OBD) which you can buy even for few days license, you will be able to check on which cells is lower voltage.

In Toyota's first generation hybrid drive system, the MG1 has a resulting speed from the speed of the car and the speed of the internal combustion engine. The driver has no influence on its operating parameters. Changing the speed of individual components affects the gear ratio (resulting diferent speed of the vehicle). On the internet, you can find a speed simulator of the individual transmission components and follow how they work together during vehicle propulsion (Prius chart)

Panie Kamilu, wystarczy nauczyć się obsługi playera, napisy są dostępne po włączeniu funkcji (można skorzystać z skrótu na klawiaturze - (C)). Napisy są dostępne zarówno w wersji PL jak i ENG przygotowane przez nasz zespół, oraz w wersji wietnamskiej z automatycznego tłumaczenia :) thx KZbin Pozdrawiamy
