How the World’s Best Rose Water Is Made

Great Big Story

Great Big Story

5 жыл бұрын

You’ve probably spritzed rose water on your face, or drank rose water tea. It’s trendy now, though the aromatic liquid has been a staple for centuries in the Middle East. The world’s best rose water is made by experts like Moshen Ghaffari in Iran’s Qamsar District. The soil content, sea level, temperature and gentle winds make the area perfect for growing roses. Moshen’s family uses copper pots to produce “double-fired” rose water. How many freshly-picked flowers does it take to make one liter? The answer might surprise you.

The Humbleness Of Man, Being Content And Happy With The Present State Of Body, Dead Or Alive. Therefore, "Laughing" That They Lived In The Body Of Mother Nature We Called "Earth", To Be Further Elaborated. 2) In The Case Where A Bouquet Of Flowers Was Presented, That Isn't The Earth. Just Basically Human Tradition, Which We Will Have To Question Our Ancestors And "How The Tradition Started?" In The Course Of Human History. [The Explanation Ends Here For The Topic Of Discussion. Personal Opinion Is Below, Just Bonus "Food For Thought" Moment Of Comments Here 👌 ]: Let's Be Honest, The Earth Doesn't Care About Our Life And Death, And Yet At The Same Time, It Does. The Earth Creates Catastrophic Natural Disasters, And It Also Creates A Stable Environment For Those Of The Present. The Earth Also Brings Climate Change As In Response To Humanity's Pollution, As Well As Blessing The Members Of Humanity Who Brings About A Positive Change To The Environment In A Said Particular Region. In Short, "What Goes Around, Comes Around." Interesting. Being from Bulgaria, I came to this video expecting to hear about this tiny little country, because rose water is very popular around here and there are still quite a lot of farmers. But I can see it being a difficult business to thrive in. Thank you for the great video.

@SG Temporary yeah, I get what you mean, and I would agree a 100% were it not for the actual economic struggle that sustaining this activity presents. You can't farm roses and process them if you don't have a stable income from them. It's very energy-consuming. If it could be done like a hobby, then yes, you are right. But in this case, were it not for the economic benefits, I can guarantee you those families wouldn't farm roses and make rose water.

@SG Temporary yeah man I get what you mean, and I agree completely. I just rephrased what the man in the video said - that they're pulling out of this beautiful tradition because of economic difficulties. I never disputed how they feel about what they do. Why would I? Cheers. 👍

I've been using rosewater for around two years now. Every evening I wash my skin with a sensitive clarifying cleansing gel, then pat it dry and apply some rose water. After this I use my face cream. I really noticed the difference when using rosewater. My skin is very sensitive and fastly irritated, but the rosewater helps me to get rid of all red, dry and oily spots and makes my skin even. This is no advertisement for rosewater, but it really saved my skin 😍

What an amazing story! I wonder what sort of economic situation is influencing old rose water makers to stop? Their expertise can't be undervalued! I love love love the look of bundles of roses and how much fresh water they had in their courtyard while they were boiling the rose water. Can you imagine what ot would be like to grow up in that home, smelling the rose water, watching them grow outside? No wonder they feel compelled to continue growing them
