Just because it has history and the training method is used in your area doesn’t mean it’s right. Hitting a horse is NEVER okay. A horse can feel a fly on its skin, so just imagine how much a whip hurts. Other than that I can’t see too much wrong, so just take away the whip and don’t tug on the reins so hard and you will have yourself a great horse. Thank you for sharing.

This is barbaric. No mutual respect for horse. Twitching it to get it to do anything. It was abusive and ignorant the way they treated that horse. Poor horse will never get over that treatment. Good horses are partners not slaves and real horsemen respect an build relationships with their horses.

Not exactly ....it's to take his mind of the saddle ..in the west mostly people just squeeze the ear or the lips ..some people twist ..i ve never seen people use a tool ..also you can't really use it on a panicking horse ..they can injure themselves or you ..it's not exactly torture but these guys are putting a beginner rider on a horse that is totally green ....worst idea ever.

That is cruel!,,,,, using the fear and punishment to break a horse is a primitive way!,,,,, instead they should create a mutual trust and bond. . That horse will never respect that man.

This horse is not racking. It is called pacing. Pacing is a two beat gait where the legs diagonally opposite from each other move at the same time. As an example; the giraffe is a pacer. The main difference between a pace and a rack is that in a pace, the two left legs leave the ground at the same time that the two right legs hit the ground. In the rack--and this is according to the US Equestrian Federation rule book, available online--the horse has only one leg on the ground at any given time. The slow gait is a slower, much more collected rack. For that reason both gaits are sometimes called the single-foot. I also hope that those in Punjab will seek to modernize their training methods. The USA also has a history regarding the breaking / training of horses, which by the way is a mixture of many countries for thousands of yeas as well. Immigrants make America what it is. John Solomon Rarey from Ohio born 1827 died 1866 (first horse whisperer) is an example. His methods were used on US Calvary horses and for kings and queens all over the world. We still use a "twitch" on ears and noses here in the US but for different reasons. Anyway, there is nothing wrong with learning how to do something new especially when it's easier on humans and kinder to animals. Your horses in Punjab are not competing in world competitions. If they were, your "old timers" using old methods would soon see the need to be re-educated. Cheers!

Awful and such a painful way to train a horse. They have no respect for the animal. You can see it's exhausted on day 2 in the heat and still they carry on pushing this so called training on the horse. As another commentor said, if they have access to You Tube, surely they would update their training methods!

Hi I am a horse lover... But i think the trainer was a bit harsh on the horse. I am a punjabi myself and have visited your region so many times. I can understand that ustad ameen knows this only way to train but there are more easy ways to train a horse.

That is not 'racking' as we define it here (US). There are much more effective methods to break and train a horse that do not involve torture and misery for the animal. IMHO

2 and a half years old is far too young for a horse to be ridden and trotted! Especially a small horse and a big man like that. You are ruining that horse for life! The horse is not even fully developed. The knees are not fuzed, meaning they are still soft. They don't give shit about that poor horse.
@mariamnone8165 жыл бұрын
this is not true, it depends on the breed of the horse, i got my Racking horse when he was 2.5 yrs old, already broke to ride and an awesome and safe trail horse for mountain riding, he's still going strong 13 years later. I know many TWH who start at the same age and no problems.

Punjab Darthi, with a long history one can hardly justy anything. Mankind has hundred thousands if years history killing each other. There is also thousabds of years of slavery. Would you say, murdering and slavery is an itelligent way to organize way of life. I am sorry for this poor animal, torcherd by You, Punjab Darthi! Look at the body language. Pure pain, pure panik, pure stress. Wold you be liked treated like this? You know that in the meantime on all continents there are more wuse and intelligent and kind ways developed to tame" horses" - also in Pakistan. Why do you resist to apply more smooth strategies? Must not be necessarily Monty Roberts, many other wise people are around in the world. And - how does fit your brutal torchering method to Your Koran as applied in Pakistan and the wisdoms often expresses there?
