Take care of your phone well enough, and if you full wipe it, clean it up, re-apply the factory stickers and shrinkwrap it like this, nobody will know the difference. I never even considered how these boxes are wrapped so tightly in the factory, but now it's so obvious. Very informative video.

Check the serial number and Imei number and tell you if the phone has ever been connected to Apple servers if it says yes then it’s been opened and set up previously.

I bought "factory sealed" new iPhone on ebay 3.5 years ago. It's been fine - no problems! Recently I opened it up to fit a new battery and SURPRISE SURPRISE.....I could see it was already on it's 2nd battery (not original). If you are smart just check the serial number it will tell you if the phone has ever been connected to Apple servers for the very first time even if the phone is reset afterwards it will still permanently say it has been connected if phone is brand-new and never been connected to Apple it or say it is unactivated.
