Can you do this video for someone with really short nails? I struggle with the thick to thin balance on the shorter nails. Also, what's the proper thickness for encapsulated nails?

I am so thankful Greg talked about this. I feel that if a person can master the ability to balance thickness throughout the nail....this is one of the keys to a very well done nail, not only mechanically but aesthetically as well. I have been laser focused on building the right structure so that the nail looks AWESOME, and not like a club glued to a finger. Thank you YN for always putting out fabulous information for us....you guys are loved !💜💙💚💛🧡

I am currently teaching myself and practicing as much as I can before I enroll in nail school this fall. I CANNOT express how informative this was!!! We get so many opinions on thickness, apex, and c curves that it can be hard to know if I’m doing it correctly. I currently do my own and struggled to file down to the credit card thickness because I just knew I would break them to pieces. (I have 2 kids and 3 dogs!) so I stay at about 1.5 credit card thickness and it works wonderfully. To have professionals and educators back that up elates me to the moon!!! I have way more confidence just knowing I’m not crazy or doing acrylic too think. Thank you thank you THANK YOU!!!

Thanks Greg, this really helps. I've just taken all my nails off & re-done them almond shape. They're not as long as Stephanie's, but I've got the free edge just a little thicker than a credit card. I've got them fairly thin at the cuticle & built up a third of the way from the cuticle to my apex & sloping down to the free edge. I'm so pleased with the way they turned out. Thanks again for your help, I really appreciate it.😊💅💖😘

This is what I need. I love going to this Korean owned nail salon that does acrylics for nail biters and they usually avoid the credit card thin look for clients like that. I am a nail biter and they actually ask clients if they are nail biters to thicken the tip precisely to combat nibblers. I managed to grow really long nails because of their method (the acrylics they put on me lasted 2 months even with all of the abuse I put those acrylics through). Currently I am learning to do my own acrylics so your video has helped a lot with applying the beads, though I prefer to use my none electric filers. Thank you so much.

Currently saving up so I can make a huge purchase from you guys on my birthday (May 1st). I’m not licensed but I only plan on learning to do my own nails. I wanted to go to school but the loans were a lot of money, currently in the medical field and I take care of my mother for a living. For me, I always go by the lifestyle of the person I am working on. A credit card thickness for instance looks beautiful and more natural, but only for someone who has a a desk job with no kids for example. I personally do my own nails very thin and naturally, but the the roughest thing I do with my nails is the dishes since I hurt my ankle and quit the gym for a while. For an active gym goer, a bartender, or similar hands on career or a woman with children.. I will do them thicker.
@mischievousamoeba4 жыл бұрын
This is honestly why I primarily use YN products, because they are far superior products to work with and it's a breeze to make those adjustments. Some products from other brands are difficult to work with and the subjective adjustments have to be taken care of with filing.
