This is amazing, we're slowly bringing on a future where we can have real-life Mario Kart! Seriously incredible engineering though!

Thanks for your comment, Nick. Yeah, the Chinese are certainly bringing something special to the table. It will be interesting to see what they come out with next.

@TheElectricOracleChannel2 күн бұрын
You can buy them now, mate. The BYD Yangwang U9 electric supercar is currently officially available for purchase only in China1615. As of February 2025, Yangwang - BYD's luxury sub-brand - has not expanded sales of the U9 to international markets through official channels.

the landing really doesn't look smooth.. there's a lot of suspension travel. Cool looking car with a lot of tech but not really convinced.

Audi, Mercedes have such active body controls for about a decade. At Mercedes ABC, and in Audi A8. Not that powerful to make jumps but can do all other stuff.

Can you share some videos of these doing the same thing? Thanks

@@TheElectricOracleChannel i think it call "bose suspension"
@myname6862 күн бұрын
@@TheElectricOracleChannel those are serious engineering systems aimed to aid drivers. kzbin.info/www/bejne/naXWlHuQl5JrabM Mercedes is ABC Active body Control. Added note, as registered cars are not permitted to jump, these street cars don't have suspension motors augmentation powerful enough to jump (not that there would be any difficulty to make it so).

@@jetli740this was a failure due to engineering unreliability issue. More like one trick pony

I'm curious how it handles potholes on a corner, that if it jumps, it will go off the road
@TheElectricOracleChannel2 күн бұрын
I dont think this works while cornering.
@jetli7402 күн бұрын
you dont do 75km around corner
@HTOP19822 күн бұрын
@jetli740 perhaps you don't. I do. And you don't need to be going at 75 for it to become an issue. I wonder what safeguards have been put in place.
@HTOP19822 күн бұрын
@@TheElectricOracleChannel perhaps not, that is the only way I can see it having been implemented. It probably only works with a small amount of turn on the wheels. It's still super interesting to see when it trickles down to more common cars.

It's not about a car doing al;l this, it's about reliability. The Japanese could do all of this 20 years ago. They went for reliability so in 10 years and 200, 000 miles, their cars still run like new. The true testament to Chinese cars will be 10 - 20 years from now and seeing how many are still on the road after 10-20 years.

Is this meant to be a serious USP, or is it just a gimmick like the Tesla's that fart, or the Mercedes and BYDs that turn on the spot? What happens if in the middle of jumping over a large pothole, a car goes into their lane. Not much chance of slowing the car down, when the wheels are off the ground. I suppose the other car will stop it!
