From what I know, the girl (Sweeney) started to become popular because of a show she is on. From there, the controversy erupted it was female left-wingers who started to trash her and call her unattractive. After that, it seems that Sidney Sweeney has not adopted the political attitude of trashing guys who find her attractive. The pushback is the fact that men while admiring a wide spectrum on what they consider beautiful, can't be made to prefer one type that they don't naturally gravitate towards much less can they be made to dislike the prominent beauty standards. Same thing happened in the 1980s when female fasion models were bone-thin. The "waif" models were what men were told to prefer. Then came along Christy Brinkley, Cindy Crawford and later Heidi Klum etc. Add Fredericks of Hollywood and the effort to change what men prefer went down in flames.

Beauty is objective when it comes to biology, a small waist signifies low BF levels, a broad shoulder signifies a good frame and also enhances the room for the breasts to grow in the upper torso region, a wide hip is a good indicator of fertility and sign of bearing children, a big butt from fat in addition with thick thighs show that the woman can support the child during pregnancy, thus the ability to look beautiful is also a indicator of genetics and health, for the face it is self explanatory with facial harmony, dimorphism, and traits that are universally attractive that blends will with other facial attributes
@solomonpollard44068 ай бұрын
do you believe that it is 100% objective? if that were the case, why do not all people agree that one person is attractive or that one person isn't? I think associating a persons looks with how you feel about them is probably a stronger force for how attractive we find another person, even while all those things you mentioned play some role.
@Sac_Bag8 ай бұрын
@@solomonpollard4406 beauty is objective, subjectivness comes in to play once people are programmed to think a certain attribute is much more hyped up for example in cultures where different people come from which will therefor make people have different preferences for beauty is something like glass skin (korea), BBL (America/brazil), thick dark black hair (iraq) and these are some examples that are affected by "the hype" which is also affected by regional culture, theres also hormonal things that come into play, because different people will have different amounts of hormone levels, a woman on birth control will typically prefer feminine men and a woman who is fertile will prefer a masculine male, yet with even that if you look good then you will look good

When you are no longer influençable by social media because you are grounded, happy, that you meditate, that you live in the present moment..... people like Miss Sweeney do not register under your radar no more. i see her but i don't see her because i don't care. Beauty is superficial like is every material possesion that existe like cars, jewelry, money, big houses....all of these are attractive when wou live a life at lower frequency....it's attractive to you like a toy is attractive to a kid but as soon as you get into higher state of conciousness you don't even see those things no more. When you are really happy and fullfil yourself in life that kind of "energy" become so secondary. I wish you all to come to that point when any attempt to play with your mind by algorythm becomes useless and do no work on influencing you no more! this is one of the most powerfull superpower you can have nowaday!

At 1:45. An organized effort to change people's preferences. I think everybody should be talking about this and more importantly who is behind this and why.

I don’t think anyone is trying to tell you what you find attractive. I think people are asking for more representation and companies that like money are selling that to them. In my opinion, you thinking “they” are trying to coerce you into being attracted to someone who isn’t your preference is just conflating marketing with match making. They don’t give a f**k who makes you horny, they just want to control where your money and attention goes.

Who told you that every minute of your life should be taken advantage of? That is impossible like when there are strikes and heavy transportation stops and companies lose millions of dollars according to them. Who told you that you had to make profits every day of the year or every day of your life?

I don't care what these people claim, but nobody in their right mind thinks a morbidly obese person is more attractive than one who is not. What we find attractive is biologically hardwired into us, and there is a good reason why we deem attractive people as attractive. being the right size implies reproductive health. Its the same reason we dont find pre pubescent children or those who are old attractive, and it probably explains why women will find older men attractive but men won't find similarly aged women attractive- women's reproductive capabilities wane much earlier than that of men. I'm all for not being mean to people because of how they look, but this movement has just gone overboard when they try insisting that its perfectly normal and healthy to be at an unhealthy weight. I'm not saying we should criticize and demean people for their weight and dietary choices, but there is no need to encourage people to keep going on with unhealthy lifestyles either, or to normalize it and pretend as if there is nothing wrong.
