This made me cry. I was once homeless. It sucks for sure, to have small goals like owning a vehicle or having a stable job seemed almost impossible for me years ago. I’m 29, I never dreamed of making professional sports. All I wanted was to have a home to sleep at and a job to take care of my family. Now I have a beautiful wife, and a boy and girl, job, renting a house, truck. When all this in 9 years. When I was 21 I would have never dreamed about having all this. All I had was hope, try to be the best person I can be. That’s how I did it. Godbless anyone to sees this.

Im a 73 years old senior citizen from the Philippines. Got interested finding out all about JIMMY BUTLER, now one of the biggest stars of NBA playing for MIAMI HEAT, whose head coach is part Filipino. Im in awe of his very touching story. Being abandoned by a heartless father, equally kicked out by an equally heartless mother, being a homeless man sleeping in streets to become one of the greatest NBA player that he is. Man, you are the quintessence of how a dream can be assidously pursued despite the impossible odds. I wonder what your biological parents are thinking now about your fame and stature, and about a son they once abandoned and threw out the street once upon a time.

Well done Jimmy, you're an inspiration. I live in Papua New Guinea, the south Pacific & I'm not a Basketball fan but your story is inspirational. You're blessed. That's your reward for the difficulty you've experienced in your life. Kevin 🇵🇬 All the way from Papua New Guinea.

Never have I ever been interested in watching basketball at all, but for whatever reason I clicked this video and was taught how competitive getting into the NBA is. You should be proud of the work you do, it's high quality and as someone who isn't even moderately interested in this sport, I was completely hooked by your video.

I teared up watching this. Truth is...sometimes you realize that achieving that dream you've always wanted is not even the end of it all. It's only the beginning. Jimmy thought getting to the MBA was the hit for him, yes, it was a hit at the level of greatness he dreamed of, But when he got there, he realized that that is just the beginning. Inspiring/coaching more people to be great was now more important 🙌🏾 His story is quite inspiring.

Thank you Mr. Butler for visiting Wingstop in Colonial Dr. Because I spoke to you I lost my job there 🤷. Apparently the manager at that time wasn't a Heat fan🤣! All is well. Congratulations on your blessings! Sending prayers as well as blessings to all! Have a spectacular weekend to all ♥️

I love the fact that he calls The Matriarch of the family who took him MOM, after all she raised him it just goes to show you that love knows no color or boundaries of we're willing to open up our hearts, mind, body, spirit, and soul to let it in and take the course it's meant too!
