Very informative. This game has one of the most welcoming PvP communities I've seen - I'm thinking of getting back into PvP and trying to apply these tactics.

Why do you have a silicon factory attached to your T2 factories? Why aren't you building defensive turrents? i have never played multiplayer Also how do i play multiplayer?

@@normalstranger6482 Well 10 days passed with no response so I'll try my best to explain it. 1. While it is true, this guy just found his niche and simply prefers Erekir over Serpulo is what I'm guessing 2. It seems that it's just more efficient to have silicon built into the schematic, it helps deliver silicon fast to each unit factory and gives a more even and fast distribution. It's better to share resources between 4 furnaces than it is to share silicon between 14 unit factories. It will take way too long, so each unit factory stack gets it's own silicon factory 3. On Erekir units are actually a better defense than turrets. Turrets are too expensive and too weak to set up early game so you'd want to get units fast. In other words, on Erekir, offensive is the best defensive 4. ....what? seriously though, on both mobile and pc you just click/tap "Play" and you will see a large + symbol that will say "Join a game". That is your multiplayer. On mobile you cannot join campaign maps unless you play LAN. That means you can only play with people who are connected to the same wi-fi network as you. You still can play multiplayer on mobile, but you have to scroll down and just enter a lobby. If you have any more questions feel free to ask

@@normalstranger6482so um sorry for being a month late to this, idk if you'll even see my reply. I just enjoy Erekir more. There are fundamental differences between the playstyles of Erekir and Serpulo, and Erekir is just more enjoyable for me. There are tons of different kinds and styles of factories. Some factories have built in Silicon, some have external. In general, it is easier to input raw materials (sand, water, graphite) into a schematic rather than processed materials (silicon, nitrogen, hydrogen), but this can vary wildly depending on the kind of map you are playing on, what your build order is comprised of, etc. For example, most schematics I use have a hydrogen input instead of water because there usually is a lot of hydrogen lying around (power plants produce extra hydrogen, some carbide does, etc). In the server I am playing on, it is usually easier and more time efficient to input sand and graphite into a factory instead of silicon. To answer your question about defenses, it varies, a lot. The reason I wasn't building turrets is because I am playing against real people, and in general, people are smarter than an ai. In pvp, breaches are significantly worse because your opponent can just avoid the range of the turret. In general, there are only a couple kind of turrets that actually do well in pvp (for erekir at least) and usually they are way later game. Producing your own units is a much more reliable way of defending, as you can move them whereever you want, as well as attack and defend with them. Accessing multiplayer is pretty easy, just press join game on the mindustry main menu. But finding a server you actually enjoy is much harder

Perhaps you should start by adding 10 before multiplying by 10 then

Yes, actually (bore speed x booster x 8 bores) is exactly equal to the max throughput of a duct but due to how they unload onto a duct there is a slight inefficiency with the 8th bore. It doesn't actually matter though since it turns off when it's not in use meaning it's only consuming power and hydrogen when it's actually running
