I sure do take advantage of every bit of information I can glean from You, Eric, Daniel and several others too. Especially if it's something imparticular I am looking for to help my other half, to do better. We surely went about things kinda backwards. I wish the library people would take into consideration not everyone has paid for courses on how to do this all "the correct way". We're personally, learning as we go. I'm sure we've made many mistakes that you have mentioned in the video, as well as in the comments. We've not given up. There's still soo much to learn on how things work especially where pitching or trying to get accepted to libraries is concerned. I want to say what you all said about rejections was very good advise. As there could be many reasons for rejection.

Hey Jessie.. what kind of microphone are you using?

It's a basic USB mic I got from Amazon. The real secret is that I use an Avalon 737 to compress the audio 👍

Great info, thanks guys! Question: did I understand correctly that Eric said that he pitched his music to multiple libraries at once? I’ve been hesitant to do that became there’s something about offering multiple libraries the same thing at the same time that feels kind of unethical to me for some reason. Is that something that’s normal and acceptable in this business? I’m in the early stages of pitching now and can definitely see the appeal of casting a wide net instead of twiddling your thumbs waiting on one response at a time, especially when you get ghosted. It doesn’t seem feasible to move at such a slow pace.

Yes, and I do not recommend a multiple Library submission process. It can result in more than 1 Library accepting your music and then you having to pull back from 1 of the companies and making an enemy out of a potential ally of yours in the future. One at a time does take longer, but it's the better approach in my opinion.

@@SyncMyMusic Thanks Jesse, that makes me feel better about moving slowly.

It's all very well being rejected by a library, but what if you simply don't hear back? At what point do you decide - I need to send this demo to other librariess?
@SyncMyMusic2 жыл бұрын
Sorry to hear that! I recommend you first get some professional feedback on your music to make sure it's ready to be submitted to Libraries: www.profeedback.me

Pond 5 is the only library that accepts my tracks. Its very disheartening as I've always wanted to compose rather than do the soul destroying gigs on bars dealing with drunks etc. But I'm gonna keep trying for at least another few years.

The money in this industry will dry up eventually. Everyone is doing library's now...the market is way over saturated.

And the world will eventually burn out because the Sun will explode. Still doesn't mean there isn't plenty of money to be made in the meantime.
