And here I am, wasting my 2 Acres farmland that I purchased in September 2021 at my home state at Ogun, Abeokuta, because I'm still doing a 9-5 corporate job in the telecoms industry. There are times that I am cash trapped and I remember that if I can just plant Maize on my farm, I could be reaping between N3M-N4m on each harvest, talk less of Cassava, which is gaining high demand yearly. Procrastination is a huge disease and I'm going to break that jinx after August break. Enough of all this my foot dragging. Buhari is not my problem...my biggest problem is leaving the wealth and assets in my village and sticking to a boring salesman job in telecommunication industry. I'm changing my story...it may not be rosy at first, but I'm not new to profit & loss business, so I'm heading to the farm soon. Thank you for such an insightful and encouraging content here...I'm starting my side hustle next month.

Bro, you will not see the problems here. It is cheaper for me to run this same business in Ghana or in Europe than Nigeria. I have friends and family members that have invested millions with little profit as returns due to the ruining costs like power and feed. The same feed that you bought yesterday can change in in price (40%) in a few hours. Power and staffing could cripple the business. Many young people just want quick millions without the hard work and our government is not making life easier for investors.

When you hear of those Nigerians desperate to leave Nigeria you just wonder with opportunities abounds in Nigeria. And all you need is small capital but brains, dexterity, passion and commitment towards what you want to do. However, our people want quick money.
@ScholarsPivot2 жыл бұрын
That's one part of the conversation. Many are now running away from Nigeria not because they can't start a business or looking for quick money, but they are leaving due to insecurity. If you or someone close to you have been kidnapped before, I think you'd have a different perspective about this.
