Hell can be fully unleashed in my life and I want to throw my arms up, but within milliseconds of listening to his music there's a silencing of everything and it's replaced with unexplainable peace. There is no figure, past or present, that has impressed me more than the genius and soul searching (and finding) master musician, Thomas Newman.

Thomas Newman is an ABSOLUTE GENIUS!!! Just ask the hundreds of composers working in Hollywood (almost all of them European) who stole his incredible compositional vocabulary! It is a shame that he never was awarded any Oscars! Thank you Thomas for your amazing body of work 🙏🙏🙏

Variety, it’s a shame you didn’t take a stereo feed from Mr Newman’s Protools. Especially since he’s discussing panning. Why just the mono mic in the room? Noted there’s no sound credit at the end. Somebody screwed up :(

They always do these theme tune breakdown videos and I get excited to watch and then it's like ah great, it's in mono, so that sucks now. It's not even mono direct feed, it is literally just a mic I think, as you say. Such a shame

Amazing video, so much to learn! I've commented before on these videos about the music being in mono. It would improve them so much if they were in stereo, it's a crucial element to the music 8:10 Newman even points out how you can hear the panning of the strings here, but we can't.

Theyre not even recording the music through the actual software. Theyre recording it through a mic to pick up the speakers. Which really shouldnt be the case!

Wow is variety trying to skirt youtube copyright strike? The audio through the camera, couldnt edit the composition into the playback? This is 2017 "youtuber" quality... Mr. Newman deserves better.
